Brand:

Tegera Pro 9180A Anti-Vibration Gloves EN ISO 10819

Description

Vibration protection for people who run power tools all day

Tegera Pro 9180A is an anti-vibration glove that has been tested to EN ISO 10819:2013/A1:2019, with printed transmissibility values of TRM 0.72 and TRH 0.53. Ejendals builds it around Vibrothan foam, a padded palm, and Microthan synthetic leather that gives durability and grip. The sheet calls it the quintessential vibration protection glove and lists the single hazard as vibration injuries.

The glove is heavy weight, black, unlined, with pre-curved fingers, a specially designed thumb and an ergonomic shape that keeps the hand relaxed on a handle. A hook-and-loop wrist fastening closes it. It is a Category II glove, and is intended for harsh environments such as workshops, yards and construction sites where grinders, breakers and impact wrenches are used for long periods.

What TRM and TRH tell you

EN ISO 10819 measures how much vibration passes through the glove at two frequency bands. TRM is the medium-frequency transmissibility (31.5 to 200 Hz) and TRH is the high-frequency transmissibility (200 to 1250 Hz). To be classed as an anti-vibration glove the standard requires TRM below 1.0 and TRH below 0.6 (general standard information). Values of 0.72 and 0.53 are printed for this glove.

The test applies to the glove as a system and does not make hand-arm vibration risk disappear; the glove reduces exposure and does not replace tool maintenance, low-vibration tools and exposure time limits. The EN 388 result 2222X means abrasion 2, cut 2, tear 2 and puncture 2, so it also gives basic mechanical protection. Select the size by hand measurement; a loose glove cannot hold the foam against the palm.

Working with the 9180A

Put the glove on with the hook-and-loop strap fully closed so the palm padding stays centred under the tool handle. A grip that is too tight cancels the benefit, because vibration transfers through a clenched hand. Take regular breaks as set out in your site vibration plan.

Brush off dirt after use, wash by hand only if the care label allows, and dry away from heat. The foam compresses over time; replace the pair when the palm padding feels flat or the Microthan surface is worn through.

Tools and trades where it is used

Industries listed on the sheet are automotive repair, metal manufacturing and fabrication, transport equipment, machinery manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, building and construction, and mining and quarrying. Typical tools are angle grinders, rotary hammers, rivet guns and impact drivers. In plant maintenance and fabrication yards, grinding and chipping are routine tasks where anti-vibration gloves are a normal part of a vibration control plan (general information).

Selection and care notes

Anti-vibration gloves reduce but do not eliminate vibration, so they are part of a vibration management plan that also includes tool selection, exposure time and rest breaks. Select the size carefully because a loose glove reduces the damping effect and control of the tool. Check the padding for wear, replace the glove when the foam is compressed or torn, and keep it dry.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full glove code, the size range, the quantity in pairs, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and the hazards the glove must cover, so that the complete supply can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Standards, performance levels and sizes are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and construction projects.

If the task also involves oil or cut risk, the Tegera 8855 handles oily sheet metal. Cold-weather general work is covered by the Tegera 9126 in this range, and more hand protection sits under Safety & PPE. The sheet for 9180A is attached as a PDF. Please confirm tool vibration data against the glove values before you order from Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat.

About brand

Tegera is the safety glove brand of Ejendals AB, a Swedish maker based in Leksand. Each Tegera glove is sold under a short model number, and the product sheet for that number prints the EN 388, EN 407, EN 511 or EN ISO 374-1 results behind the markings.

Seven Star LLC lists Tegera gloves for welding, chemical handling, cut risk, cold weather and power-tool work, and supplies them to contractors and plant owners in Oman against the exact model number and size.

Tegera glove models on this page

The range here covers the Welding 7788 goatskin glove, the Chemforce 7350 winter-lined nitrile and Chemforce 8160 latex gloves, the Oil Grip 8855 and ultra-thin 8846 cut resistant gloves, the 8821 high-visibility knit, the Pro 9102, Pro 9126 and anti-vibration Pro 9180A, and the Dynamic Strength 7776 impact and cut glove.

Where Tegera gloves are used

Welding and fabrication yards, chemical and petrochemical handling, mechanical maintenance with oily parts, cold stores and grinding or chipping work are the usual places. The Ejendals data sheets name oil and gas extraction, metal fabrication, mining and building among their industries.

Ordering Tegera gloves: what we need

Send the model number, the size and the number of pairs. Ejendals article numbers add the size, for example 7788-9 for a large. For chemical gloves also give the substances, because the permeation results are printed for only a few test chemicals.
