Kentec Sigma CP K11040M2 4-Zone Conventional Fire Alarm Panel
Description
The Kentec Sigma CP K11040M2 is a four-zone, four-wire conventional fire alarm control panel from the Sigma CP range. The datasheet DS37 lists it with a 3 A power supply, two monitored sounder outputs and certification to BS EN54-2 and BS EN54-4. It is built on a single board and supplied in a 385 x 310 x 90 mm steel enclosure, so it suits small and medium premises that use conventional detectors, call points and sounders.
Product overview
Kentec positions the Sigma CP range for conventional fire detection and alarm systems, and as a replacement for panels on older systems. The range is available with two, four or eight zones, in standard four-wire or installation-saving two-wire versions. Configuration data is stored in non-volatile memory and is viewed and changed through a menu-driven user interface on the panel. The panels are compatible with most standard conventional detectors, call points and sounders, and with two-wire detector bases from Apollo and Hochiki.
Functions and configuration
- Fully certified to BS EN54-2 and BS EN54-4.
- Described as compatible for use on BS 5839 Part 1: 2017 installations.
- Two monitored sounder outputs, a three amp power supply and an auxiliary power output.
- Adjustable sounder delay time and sounder configuration options.
- Zonal sounder delay for detectors only or call points only, coincidence input selection and zone input delay.
- I.S. barrier selection by zone, short circuit fire by zone, non-latching zones and silent zones.
- Two-wire repeaters and ancillary boards on a serial connection.

Choosing a model
Choose the number of zones first, then four-wire (K) or two-wire (T) construction. The KL versions add the LCMU. K11040M2 is the standard four-wire panel with four zones and no LCMU. Repeater panels and ancillary boards for the same range are listed separately in datasheet DS39.
Installation notes
The datasheet specifies a detection zone end of line of 6k8 and a sounder end of line of 10k, and the manual Man-1078 covers wiring, configuration and operation of the panel. Because sounder outputs are rated 0.5 A each with a combined limit of 1.6 A, add up the connected sounder load before finalising the circuit design.
Typical applications
Small to medium commercial buildings, schools, hotels, workshops and warehouses where conventional zones are enough and a simple zone chart on the front fascia helps occupants and fire fighters.
Selection and installation notes
A fire alarm control panel is selected from the number of loops or zones, the devices to be connected, the standby battery duration and the standard the project requires. It must be designed, installed, programmed and commissioned by competent fire system engineers to the code and authority rules for the project, with a cause and effect plan, correct battery sizing, cable of the specified type and a full test of every device and output before handover. Confirm the certification needed for the project with the authority before purchase.
Conventional panels need the right end-of-line devices and cable on each zone, and the number of devices per zone must stay within the data sheet limits.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
Documents and quotation
Both documents are available from this page. We supply from Muscat as an independent supplier, with no manufacturer relationship implied. See more in the fire alarm panels in the Logic Controllers category and ask for a quote with your zone count and wiring type.

About brand
Kentec Electronics is a British manufacturer of fire alarm and extinguishant control panels, founded in 1985 in Kent and headquartered in Dartford. It began by assembling its first panel in a converted shed to give independent installers an alternative to the large manufacturers. Kentec exports to more than 80 countries and received the King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2026.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Kentec panels with the manufacturer datasheet and manual on each page, for fire alarm contractors and facilities in Oman and the GCC.
