Kidde AEGIS-PHX Conventional Fire Alarm Suppression Control Unit
Description
A conventional release panel for special hazards
The Kidde AEGIS-PHX is a conventional, suppression-focused fire alarm control unit for single-zone and multi-hazard special hazard installations. It supervises detection circuits, drives agent release and notification circuits, and is built around a triple-redundant release safeguard intended to stop spurious signals from discharging an extinguishing system. The datasheet lists Kidde ECS-500 and ADS clean agent, Natura inert gas, high and low pressure CO2, WHDR wet chemical and IND dry chemical systems as suppression systems it can control, plus sprinkler supervisory, deluge/pre-action, foam and water mist systems by others.

Selecting the AEGIS-PHX for a hazard
The five R-NAC circuits are the deciding feature. Each can be used for horns and strobes or for one control head or solenoid valve, so a single panel can cover detection, alarm and release for a room with one extinguishing zone, or a cross-zoned room that needs two release lines and several alarm circuits. Fifteen predefined sequences are available in the Configuration Utility, including cross-zone activation, New York City abort, sprinkler release, single-zone high pressure CO2 release and cycling low pressure CO2 release, with or without an on-board maintenance bypass.
The unit is backwards compatible. It fits in AEGIS, AEGIS 2.0 and AEGIS-XLT enclosures, so only the circuit board and door need replacing in a retrofit, and it supports legacy Fenwal and Chemetron control heads, actuators and initiators. Releasing circuits suit control heads and solenoids of FM Release Panel Group 3 rated 22 W and below.
What to confirm before ordering
State the suppression system and its control head part numbers, the detector types and quantities per circuit, the mains voltage, battery size and the approvals the project requires. Check detector compatibility against the manufacturer’s compatibility table, since the panel supports a defined list of two-wire detectors. A maintenance bypass key switch is required on non-water-based agent release circuits, so order the door-mounted kit variant when the design calls for it. Panel programming, commissioning and acceptance testing belong to the fire contractor of record, not to the supplier.
Documents and quotation
The datasheet K-84-900 (6 pages) published by the manufacturer is hosted here for download. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. Price, delivery time and availability are quoted once we have the model, quantity and delivery location. Matching hardware such as the Kidde WK-890181-000 electric control head and detectors in the Logic Controllers range can be quoted with the panel.

About brand
Engineered fire suppression hardware, cylinders, valves and the control heads that release them, is the side of Kidde that industrial sites deal with. The name goes back to 1917. Seven Star LLC lists Kidde clean agent cylinders, control heads and pilot cylinders, and supplies Kidde fire systems parts to operators and fire contractors in Oman as an independent supplier. Household smoke alarms and aircraft systems sold under the same name are outside our scope.
Kidde fire suppression parts listed here
The listed items are release-train components: the WK-890181-000 electric control head, a 24 V DC unit used on Kidde FM-200 systems, an FM-200 (HFC-227ea) clean agent cylinder in the 200 lb size, and the K62462 pilot gas cylinder. Kidde also builds high-pressure CO2 systems with their own control heads and nitrogen pilot cylinders. Typical sites in the GCC are turbine enclosures, switchgear and control rooms, data halls and marine machinery spaces.
Ordering Kidde parts: what we need
Kidde components are ordered by part number, so send it exactly as printed on the label or in the system drawings. For an agent cylinder we also need the fill weight, valve type and the transport documents required. Send the nameplate photo and the system design reference whenever possible.
