Three of the items on this page are panel parts. The Vigilon Compact Plus is the smaller panel for one or two loops. The Vigilon Plus, listed as VIGPLUS-72, is the larger control panel for one to six loops with 72-hour standby capacity. The VIG-LPC-EN loop card adds or replaces a loop circuit in the VIGPLUS-24 and VIGPLUS-72 panels. On the loops, Gent uses its own device families, notably S-Quad devices that combine multi-sensor detection with sounder, voice and visual alarm options.

Gent systems are configured per site, so details matter. Send the part number from the panel or card label, the panel type and number of loops, the panel firmware version if shown, and the device types on the loop. For a new panel, state loops required, network cards, printer or repeater options and battery size. We supply to projects in the GCC and check each part number against the manufacturer’s documentation.

01How do I identify which Gent Vigilon panel I have?
Open the panel door and look for the product label inside the enclosure. It gives the part number, such as VIGPLUS-72 or a Compact reference, and the serial number. The number of loop cards fitted and the firmware version shown in the panel menu complete the picture. Photos of the label, the card cage and the display are usually enough for us to match spares.
02Can I add a loop to an existing Vigilon panel with a VIG-LPC-EN loop card?
Only on the panels it is made for. The manufacturer lists the VIG-LPC-EN as the loop card for the VIGPLUS-24 and VIGPLUS-72 Vigilon panels, and the Compact panels use a different loop card. If a slot is free, the card provides another loop, and the site configuration then has to be updated by a competent Gent system engineer. Confirm the panel type and current card count before ordering.
03Do Gent Vigilon panels work with other makes of detector?
No. Vigilon loops use Gent's own protocol, so detectors, call points and interfaces must be Gent loop devices such as S-Quad. Detectors from other manufacturers will not communicate with the panel. When you request loop devices, give the existing device part numbers or the panel type and firmware, because device generations and panel firmware have to be compatible.
04Which approvals apply to Gent fire alarm equipment?
Gent designs its control panels and loop devices to the relevant parts of EN 54, and the manufacturer issues declarations of performance and third-party certificates for individual products. Local civil defense acceptance is a separate matter for your project consultant. Tell us which documents your approval file needs and we will request them from the manufacturer's published documentation with the order.
05Is Seven Star LLC a Gent distributor?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier and is not an authorized Gent distributor or approved system integrator. We source Gent panels, loop cards and devices through commercial channels, check part numbers against the manufacturer's documentation, and provide the datasheet and the certificates the manufacturer issues, on request, with the order.
