Kentec Sigma A-XT K1810-13 UL/FM Extinguishant Releasing Panel

Description

The Kentec Sigma A-XT K1810-13 is the 230 V red-enclosure model of the Sigma A-XT extinguishant control panel, which the datasheet lists as UL864 and FM listed. Kentec describes the Sigma A-XT releasing panel as offering outstanding value and performance for small to medium fixed firefighting installations. It has three initiating circuits as standard, and release can be configured from any single zone or any combination of zones, which supports cross-zoned arrangements such as two from three detection types.

Product overview

All electronics are mounted on a single, easily removable steel plate, and the enclosure matches the design and colour of the Elite RS range. A large LED display handles configuration and control and shows the time remaining until release. The countdown time is duplicated on up to seven remote status units, so people outside the protected space see the same state. The manual Man-1145 is an operating and installation manual covering the panel and its configuration.

Listings and functions

  • UL864 and FM listed.
  • Three initiating circuits as standard; any single zone or combination of zones can be configured to release.
  • Configurable first stage notification appliance circuit (NAC) delays and configurable detection delays.
  • Zero time delay upon manual release option.
  • Releasing delays up to 60 seconds in 5 second steps; releasing duration up to 5 minutes in 5 second steps.
  • Supports up to seven four-wire status indicators and has built-in extract fan control.
  • Compatible with I.S. barriers, with a non-latching zone input option for signals from other systems such as aspirating equipment.

Choosing voltage and colour

Choose the supply voltage and colour. K1810-13 is the red 230 V panel; K1810-12 is the 115 V version and K1810-43 is the grey 230 V version. Remote status indicators are separate items; Kentec publishes a Sigma A-Si status unit datasheet as DS73.

Installation notes

Man-1145 is written for installation to NFPA 72 and describes Class B Style C wiring. It refers to extinguishing system types covered by NFPA standards including 12, 12A, 13, 15, 16, 17, 17A, 750, 2001 and 2010, and the power supply is described as meeting UL864 9th edition. As the panel is listed to US standards, confirm acceptance by the authority having jurisdiction in your project.

Typical applications

Small to medium fixed firefighting systems such as clean agent rooms, kitchen or industrial hazards and other spaces where a UL or FM listed releasing control is specified. The multiple detection zones let designers use ceiling void, room and floor void detection in a single release scheme.

Selection and installation notes

A fire alarm control panel is selected from the number of loops or zones, the devices to be connected, the standby battery duration and the standard the project requires. It must be designed, installed, programmed and commissioned by competent fire system engineers to the code and authority rules for the project, with a cause and effect plan, correct battery sizing, cable of the specified type and a full test of every device and output before handover. Confirm the certification needed for the project with the authority before purchase.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
