Kentec Syncro XT+ A32162M3 Extinguishant Control Panel

Description

The Kentec Syncro XT+ A32162M3 is a multi-area addressable extinguishant control panel: two detection loops, 16 zones and two extinguishant areas in the M3 enclosure, using the Apollo protocol. It lets gaseous extinguishing systems use addressable detectors, so every detector can contribute to the release decision. The datasheet (DS58, October 2025) states approval to EN12094-1, EN54-2 and EN54-4, and Man-1197 describes it as a combined control and indicating equipment and extinguishing control and delay device.

What the panel does

Each extinguishant area has its own mode select and manual release controls, a countdown indicator in seconds, two release outputs that can be configured as main and reserve, first and second stage sounder outputs and volt-free changeover contacts for first stage, second stage, released and fault. Release can follow simple coincidence detection or more complex cause and effects written in the Loop Explorer configuration programme. Because the panel is built on the Syncro AS platform, it also controls loop-connected sounders, beacons and input/output modules, and it can be networked with Syncro AS panels using up to 64 nodes.

Features of the XT+ platform

  • 16 detection zones and up to four extinguishant areas across the range.
  • Programmable extinguishant delay and output duration.
  • Monitored remote manual release, hold, mode select (door interlock), released pressure switch and abort inputs.
  • Serial connection for Sigma Si status units and ancillary boards (K588), up to seven per area.
  • A and H product codes select Apollo or Hochiki protocol.

Reading the product code

Replace the hash in the product codes with A for Apollo or H for Hochiki. The number block gives loops, then areas: A32162M3 is two loops and two areas. Three and four area versions move up to the larger M4 enclosure. Add Sigma Si status units, ancillary boards and a Syncro network card as needed. A Loop Explorer download lead is a separate item.

Installation and commissioning notes

Man-1197 states that models carry up to four integrated extinguishing modules and that remote extinguishing modules may be added up to 32 per system. It lists the EN12094-1 options available, including delay of the extinguishing signal, emergency hold and manual-only mode, and it describes disablement functions at access level 2 and configuration at level 3. Use the manual and Loop Explorer to document cause and effect before commissioning.

Typical applications

Server rooms, switchgear and control rooms, archives, turbine enclosures and other protected spaces using gaseous extinguishing where addressable detection is preferred to conventional zones. Confirm cylinder, release and approvals requirements for your project.

Selection and installation notes

A fire alarm control panel is selected from the number of loops or zones, the devices to be connected, the standby battery duration and the standard the project requires. It must be designed, installed, programmed and commissioned by competent fire system engineers to the code and authority rules for the project, with a cause and effect plan, correct battery sizing, cable of the specified type and a full test of every device and output before handover. Confirm the certification needed for the project with the authority before purchase.

An extinguishant control panel must be coordinated with the gas system supplier and the cause and effect plan, including the abort, manual release and hold functions, before commissioning.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

Documents and quotation

Datasheet and manual are provided on this page. As an independent supplier in Muscat, Seven Star LLC can quote this panel; start from the fire alarm panels in the Logic Controllers category and tell us the protocol, loops and areas.
