Hydac DFZ ON 110QC10A1.0 Modular Stacking Filter, 315 bar

Description

A sandwich-plate pressure filter that stacks under a valve

The Hydac DFZ ON 110QC10A1.0 (HYDAC catalogue item 1270213) is a high-pressure filter built to the D05 (CETOP R35 H) valve pattern. It bolts between a manifold and a directional valve, so it cleans the oil right before a sensitive component without extra pipework. This code is the size 110 version with a 315 bar (4568 psi) rating, 10 gpm (38 L/min) flow, 10 micron rating, NBR seals and a plugged indicator port.

The DFZ family covers sizes 30, 60 and 110. Sizes 60 and 110 use the D05 pattern with a fifth port for an optional tank connection, while size 30 uses D03.

Understanding the model code

DFZ ON 110 Q C 10 A 1 . 0: DFZ is the stacking filter, ON the element media shown on the catalogue item, 110 the size, Q the 4500 psi (315 bar) rating, C the five-port D05 connection, 10 the micron rating, A no indicator, 1 the type number and 0 the modification number. Left or right bowl is chosen by the bowl-location digit in the full code; the catalogue item shows none, which the datasheet treats as the standard right-hand bowl. The current datasheet lists BH/HC and V media rather than ON.

Where a stacking filter fits

Because it has no bypass valve, the DFZ never lets unfiltered oil past the element, which protects servo and proportional valves, but it also means the element must be high-collapse and changed before it clogs. A pop-up, electrical or lamp-type differential indicator can be fitted in place of the plug to warn you. The two mounting patterns match common valve stacks, and the bowl can be ordered on the left or right for easier element removal. Typical applications named by HYDAC include agricultural, construction, power generation and steel industry hydraulics.

Check that the valve stack bolt length is long enough for the added filter body, and verify the mounting face is flat and clean before assembly. Specify the indicator and bowl side when you ask for a quotation so that the order code is complete.

Because the filter body sits between the valve and the manifold, it adds height to the stack and changes the bolt length. Request the drawing or the dimension table for the D05 pattern, and make sure the clearance around the bowl allows an element change.

About brand

HYDAC is the German hydraulics group known for hydraulic filters, accumulators and electronic pressure and temperature sensors. It was founded in 1963 in Sulzbach, Saarland, by Werner Dieter and Otmar Schön. The name comes from "hydraulic accumulator", the first product it made under licence. It is still a family company headquartered in Sulzbach.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list HYDAC filters, filter elements, accumulators, pressure transmitters and switches, and supply them for hydraulic power units, turbines, compressors and mobile machines in Oman and the GCC.

Most hydraulic failures start with dirty or wet oil. That is why a system has filters at several points: a pressure filter in front of sensitive valves, a return filter that cleans what comes back to the tank, and a breather that stops dust and humidity entering as the oil level moves. The filter element's rating (for example 3, 10 or 25 µm) and its material decide what cleanliness class the oil reaches. On HYDAC sensors, the type code also sets the pressure range, the output and the connector. For example, HDA 4445-A-400-000 is a 4-20 mA transmitter for 0-400 bar.

Where HYDAC products are used

In Oman and the GCC, HYDAC filters, accumulators and sensors are used on turbine and compressor lube oil systems, hydraulic power units, offshore and marine hydraulics, cranes, presses, steel and aluminium plants, and construction and mobile machines.

Ordering HYDAC products: what we need

Send the full HYDAC type code or part number from the label. For filter elements, the element code on the end cap (for example 0160 D 010 BN4HC) gives the size, filter type, micron rating and material. For accumulators, send the volume, pressure rating and connection. For sensors, send the pressure range, output signal and connector.

FAQ

Questions about the Hydac DFZ ON 110QC10A1.0 Modular Stacking Filter,

Answers from our engineering team on installation, compatibility and integration.

01What mounting pattern does the DFZ ON 110QC10A1.0 use?
The D05 / CETOP R35 H pattern with five ports, including the optional tank port.
02What is its rated flow and pressure?
10 gpm (38 L/min) at a housing working pressure of 315 bar (4568 psi).
03Does it have a bypass valve?
No. The filter has no bypass and needs a high-collapse element rated for 210 bar.
04What seals does it use?
Nitrile rubber (NBR) in this configuration; FKM is available via the seals code.
05Can a clogging indicator be added?
Yes. The A in the code means the port is plugged; visual, electric and lamp-type differential indicators can replace the plug.
