Overview
The Bently Nevada 330103-00-05-10-01-00 is a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe, also called a 3300 XL 8mm eddy current probe, with a metric M10 x 1 thread. It is the sensing element of the 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer system, which consists of a probe, an extension cable and a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor. Together they produce an output voltage proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the shaft. The system is used for radial vibration and axial position measurement on fluid-film bearing machines, and for Keyphasor and speed measurement.

Bently Nevada 330103-00-05-10-01-00 Ordering Code and Options
The 330103 base number identifies a 3300 XL 8 mm probe with an M10 × 1 thread and no armour; the armoured equivalent is 330104. The five option fields are AA-BB-CC-DD-EE. AA is the unthreaded length in steps of 10 mm (00 = fully threaded case). BB is the overall case length in steps of 10 mm, from 20 mm to 250 mm, so 05 is a 50 mm case.
CC is the total length including the integral cable. Metric probes are offered in 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 5.0 and 9.0 m; 10 means 1.0 m. DD selects connector and cable: 01 is a ClickLoc connector with a factory-fitted connector protector on standard cable, 02 is the same without the protector, and 11 or 12 are the FluidLoc cable versions that stop oil travelling through the cable interior. EE is the approval option: 00 none, 05 CSA, ATEX and IECEx.
The probe is not pressure tested before shipment, and the datasheet warns that exposure below -34 °C may shorten the life of the Viton O-ring pressure seal.
Bently Nevada 330103-00-05-10-01-00 System Compatibility
A complete loop needs a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor whose system length equals the probe length plus any extension cable. A 1.0 m probe can be connected straight to a 1.0 m Proximitor (330180-10, -11 or -12) with no extension cable, or combined with a 330130 extension cable of 4.0 m for a 5.0 m system or 8.0 m for a 9.0 m system. Components are interchangeable without bench calibration; mixing in non-XL 3300 parts limits performance to the non-XL specification.
