Overview

Measurement Principle

The SCOUT100-EX accepts up to two simultaneous vibration inputs from accelerometer, velocity, displacement, or current sensors, with both AC and DC coupling modes and a 24-bit analog-to-digital converter for high-fidelity measurement. Sensor excitation is configurable at 0 mA or 2.2 mA at 24V, supporting IEPE/ICP®-type accelerometers, with a dynamic range of ≥95 dB and a maximum input range of ±8V (AC) or ±20V (DC).

Frequency analysis reaches up to 40 kHz Fmax in single-channel mode (20 kHz dual-channel) with FFT resolution up to 6,400 lines, and the device supports order tracking up to 6 kHz with tachometer input. The unique 6Pack recording system captures low- and high-frequency demodulated waveforms simultaneously, while long-time waveform recording extends up to 1.6 hours of continuous data capture—essential for coast-down analysis and transient event capture.

Balancing capability covers up to 2 planes with a speed range of 30 to 60,000 RPM and ±0.1% accuracy, using laser, TTL pulse, or Keyphasor® tachometer inputs, and dual 1GB mirrored internal flash memory protects collected data against loss.
