DAB K 35/40 M Twin-Impeller Centrifugal Pump 0.75 kW

K 35/40 M is the smallest single-phase model in the DAB K twin-impeller range: a 0.75 kW (1 HP) horizontal centrifugal pump with a cast-iron body, two technopolymer impellers, a 6 bar pressure limit and a tabulated head of 43.5 m at zero flow.

Twin impellers for pressurisation and tank filling

DAB designed the K twin-impeller series for water pressurisation units and for filling pressure vessels, and also lists sprinkler systems and general water supply as suitable uses.

The K 35/40 M sits at the lower end of the family, which the datasheet describes as 1.2 to 30 m3/h with heads up to 97 m across all models. For this code the tabulated curve runs from 43.5 m at zero flow to 23.5 m at 4.8 m3/h.

• Pump body and motor support in cast iron 200 UNI ISO 185, with a cast-iron intermediate disc.
• Technopolymer A impellers; shaft with rotor in AISI 416 stainless steel (X12CrS13) for the K 35/40.

Order code and neighbouring models

The sheet lists the K 35/40, 45/50, 55/50, 35/100, 40/100, 55/100, 66/100, 90/100, 70/300, 80/300, 70/400 and 80/400. The K 35/40 is offered as M (single-phase) and T (three-phase 230/400 V, in IE3 and IE2 motor versions). Only the 70/300 to 80/400 models are rated for liquids up to +110°C, so they are different items from this one. If your system needs more than about 4.8 m3/h or more than 43 m, look at the K 45/50 or K 55/50 rather than oversizing this code.

Installation notes

The motor must stay above the pump whether you mount it horizontally or vertically. The 1 inch G ports are threaded, so union fittings or a short flexible hose on each side make removal easy. Fit a pressure vessel and a pressure switch or controller on the delivery side for a booster duty; the sheet does not supply them. IP 44 protects against splashes only, so keep the motor out of the weather.

Uses in Oman and the GCC

Small booster sets for villas, farm buildings and site offices, filling of overhead or pressure tanks, and basic irrigation or sprinkler feed from a storage tank are the natural fits. The 6 bar limit and IP 44 motor make it a clean-water pump for indoor or sheltered locations rather than an exposed outdoor industrial one; the sheet gives no corrosion or dust rating.

Selection and installation notes

A pump is selected from the duty point: the flow and the head the system needs, with the curve on the data sheet checked at that point. Confirm the liquid, its temperature and any solids, the electrical supply and the connection sizes, fit isolating valves and a non-return valve where the system needs them, protect the motor with a suitable overload device and prime the pump before running it. Do not run it dry or against a closed discharge.
