Overview

Operating Principle

Like every end suction centrifugal pump, the Bell & Gossett e-1510 draws liquid axially into the eye of a rotating impeller, accelerates it outward and converts that velocity into pressure in the volute casing before it leaves through the discharge nozzle at the top. Engineering Design of the Bell & Gossett e-1510

The volute is Class 30 cast iron (ASTM A48 30B) or ductile iron, the shaft sleeve is 304 stainless steel, and the impeller is balanced to ISO 1940-1 grade G6.3. Gauge tappings are provided at the suction and discharge nozzles together with vent and drain tappings, and each pump is factory hydrostatically tested to Hydraulic Institute standards in an ISO 9001 approved facility.
