Kemppi X5 Power Source 500 Pulse MIG/MAG Welding Machine
Description
500 A pulse power source for the modular X5 FastMig system
The Kemppi X5 Power Source 500 Pulse is the 500 A pulse-capable power source of the X5 FastMig family, a modular multi-process industrial welding system designed and manufactured in Finland and focused primarily on high-performance MIG/MAG welding. Combined with an X5 Wire Feeder 300 AP, 300 APC, HD300 AP or HD300 APC, it forms an X5 FastMig Pulse system that offers manual, synergic 1-MIG and pulse MIG/MAG welding. The same power source also supports MMA, DC TIG and gouging.
In the modular X5 system the wire feeder, cooler, cables and gun are separate units selected to suit the application. APC wire feeders add integrated wireless connectivity for WeldEye ArcVision and digital WPS.

All feeders use a four-roll, single-motor drive with 32 mm rolls, a Euro gun connection and a wire feed speed of 0.5-25 m/min. The X5 Cooler provides 1.1 kW at 1 l/min with a 3 l tank. For the Pulse system, Kemppi specifies the 300 AP, 300 APC, HD300 AP or HD300 APC feeder; the 200 feeder is a Manual-system unit.
Choosing between 500, 500 Pulse and 500 Pulse+
The non-pulse X5 Power Source 500 has a higher continuous rating (430 A at 100%) and suits manual or synergic MAG on structural steel. The 500 Pulse adds pulse MIG for stainless steel and aluminium, where lower heat input and spatter-free droplet transfer are needed; the 500 Pulse+ shares the same electrical ratings. Optional MAX and Wise arc performance processes and Weld Assist parameter guidance can be added to tailor the system further. A 400 A version and a 400 MV Pulse+ multi-voltage model are also available. For a more compact Kemppi system, see the Kemppi X3 FastMig.
Documents and quotation
The attached Kemppi X5 FastMig brochure includes technical specifications for every X5 power source, wire feeder and cooler, and the system configuration table. For a quotation, state the wire feeder model, cooling, interconnection cable length, gun and optional welding software. More machines are listed under MIG/MAG welding machines.

About brand
From Lahti, Finland, Kemppi has been building arc welding equipment since 1949. The current program runs from portable stick welders to industrial MIG/MAG and TIG power sources, supported by welding helmets and the WeldEye welding management software.
Seven Star LLC lists Kemppi MIG/MAG, TIG and stick welding machines and supplies them to fabrication shops and site contractors in Oman.
Kemppi machine families listed here
Kemppi names its machines by family and current rating, which makes selection fairly direct:
- Kempact 323A and Master M 323: compact MIG/MAG machines
- X3 FastMig: industrial MIG/MAG system
- Master S 500 and Minarc Evo 180: stick (MMA) welders
- Master T 355 ACDC: AC/DC TIG machine
Kemppi sells several versions under one family name: the Master T series, for example, includes both 355 DC and 355 ACDC machines, so the full designation matters.
Where Kemppi welding machines are used
Portable units such as the Minarc Evo 180 suit maintenance and site work. The Master S stick machines are aimed at heavier electrode welding on structures and piping. MIG/MAG systems such as X3 FastMig are used in production welding of steel structures and machinery, and AC/DC TIG machines are chosen where aluminum has to be welded alongside stainless and carbon steel. Fabricators across the GCC use this mix for oil and gas, construction and general engineering jobs.
Ordering Kemppi equipment: what we need
Send the full model name and, if you have it, the Kemppi order code. State the mains supply at your site, single or three phase and the voltage, since several models exist in different supply versions. Tell us if you need the power source alone or a package with wire feeder, torch, earth cable, cooling unit and cart. For torches and wear parts, send the torch model and the wire diameter or electrode size. For an older machine, the serial number from the rating plate lets us check parts against the manufacturer documentation.
