Description

A compact smart positioner for linear and rotary valves

The TopWorx PD Series smart valve positioner is offered as the PD100 and the PD200. It fits linear and rotary actuators, single or double acting, with direct or reverse action, and uses Hall-effect contactless position sensing. A local liquid crystal display, autocalibration and three buttons make set-up easy, and the PD200 adds HART capability with configurable alarms and magnetic buttons that can be operated with a magnetic key without removing the cover.

The datasheet codification builds a code such as PD200-HSNGK30000-ES from model, input and communication (C 4-20 mA for PD100, H HART 7 for PD200), feedback output (F isolated 4-20 mA feedback for PD100; S feedback plus two mechanical alarm switches for PD200), connection N (single conduit entry with 1/4 in NPT manifold), manifold G (two pressure gauges in psi), actuator type (RN rotary NAMUR adapter, K3 linear lever 12-120 mm, K4 linear lever 80-200 mm), mounting bracket (00 means none, sold separately), options and hazardous area class (GP, EN or ES). Not all combinations are compatible, so confirm with TopWorx.

Selection notes

Choose the PD100 for analog control and general purpose or non-incendive areas, and the PD200 where HART, alarms or intrinsic safety are needed. The hazardous-area marks are shown as pending on this edition of the datasheet, so verify certification status before use in a classified area. The sheet gives no actuator-size limit beyond the stroke range.
