Pixsys CNV580 4G LTE IIoT Gateway, Pixsys Guard App
Description
CNV580 is a plug-and-play IIoT gateway from Pixsys that connects field equipment to the Pixsys Hub cloud over a 4G LTE modem with an integrated, pre-activated SIM card. Two versions exist: CNV580-LTE-1AD with two digital inputs, one 4-20 mA input and one digital output, and CNV580-LTE-2AD, which adds an RS485 Modbus port for Pixsys controllers.
Remote monitoring and push notifications without a site network
The gateway sits on a DIN rail in a 2-module DIN 43880 enclosure (36 x 90 x 84 mm). It reads its own inputs and, on the 2AD version, the Pixsys devices on its RS485 line, publishes the data to the Pixsys Hub and shows panels on the phone through the Pixsys Guard app for Android and iOS. The datasheet gives example links to a DRR244, an ATR621, an MCM260X I/O module and an HMI, and the system diagram labels the cloud link as MQTT protocol.
Setup is done through the app. After power-up the CNV580 is in association mode for about five minutes, the RUN LED blinks blue and the phone can pair with it by Bluetooth; association can be restarted by holding an internal button for three seconds. The app then builds a dashboard for each connected slave, and plants can be shared with other users. An advanced notification editor, available in the Android admin mode, defines alarms and messages.
Datasheet highlights

1AD or 2AD
Choose the CNV580-LTE-1AD for a stand-alone monitoring point: a 4-20 mA transmitter, two contacts and one output. Choose CNV580-LTE-2AD when the gateway should also poll Pixsys controllers over RS485, such as ATR144-ABC-T, ATR244-12ABC-T, ATR621-13ABC-T, DRR244-13ABC-T or the MCM260X I/O module, all of which appear as wiring examples in the manual. The RS485 port works only with Pixsys devices.
Installation and LED notes
The manual asks for the usual separation of control wiring from power wiring, a mains filter on the supply, and shielded sensor cable grounded at one end. LED RUN colours tell the state: solid red is not connected to a mobile network, alternating red and green is network detection, solid green is connected to network and cloud server, blinking blue is association mode and solid blue is a Bluetooth link to the app.
The built-in UPS is fully working 15 seconds after power on. A power failure between 50 ms and 500 ms generates a “Brief power failure detected” message without a shutdown, while a longer failure sends a shutdown notification. The phone needs Bluetooth, GPS location and an internet connection during pairing.
Applications
Remote pumping stations, water tanks, chillers, generators and ovens that have no plant network can report alarms, a 4-20 mA level or pressure value and the loop data from Pixsys controllers. Local mobile coverage and the SIM service terms are outside the datasheet, so confirm them for the site before ordering.
Selection and installation notes
An industrial gateway is selected from the interfaces to the field equipment, the network coverage on site and the cloud service it connects to. Fit it in a panel with a good antenna position, set the inputs, ports and security settings at commissioning, change default passwords and check that the data reaches the cloud service before handover. Keep the firmware current and record the SIM and account details with the site documents.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
