Camfil Megalam ProSafe MX14-2G10-610x610x90-1PU H14 HEPA Panel

Description

A HEPA/ULPA panel for pharma, food and beverage cleanrooms

The Camfil Megalam ProSafe MX14-2G10-610x610x90-1PU is a 610 x 610 x 90 mm H14 HEPA panel with an extruded anodised aluminium frame, glass fibre media, a seamless polyurethane foamed gasket and painted expanded-metal grilles. Camfil describes it as a HEPA/ULPA filter for cleanrooms and laminar air flow benches, certified Prosafe for the pharma, food and beverage industries.

In the type table the MX line is the 90 mm deep construction, alongside MD at 66 mm and MG at 110 mm. The panel carries 605 m3/h at 95 Pa initial resistance with 13.2 m2 of media and weighs 6.5 kg.

MD, MX or MG depth

Type Depth Airflow Pressure drop Media area Weight
MD14-2G10-610x610x66-1PU 66 mm 600 m3/h 140 Pa 9.7 m2 5.4 kg
MX14-2G10-610x610x90-1PU (this page) 90 mm 605 m3/h 95 Pa 13.2 m2 6.5 kg
MG14-2G10-610x610x110-1PU 110 mm 605 m3/h 65 Pa 17.5 m2 8.6 kg

At the same face size and airflow, the MX uses about 32 percent less initial resistance than the MD (95 against 140 Pa, derived) and has a final pressure drop limit of 600 Pa against 500 Pa for the MD. The MG goes lower again at 65 Pa and takes 800 Pa as its final limit.

Selection and size range

The MX series is printed for sizes from 305 x 305 x 90 mm (151 m3/h, 110 Pa) to 1220 x 610 x 90 mm (1,206 m3/h, 95 Pa). H14 and U15 grades exist; this page covers the H14 610 x 610 size. Choose the 610 x 610 for standard ceiling grid modules and the correct duct or housing for terminal HEPA installations.

The recommended final pressure drop of two times initial equals 190 Pa (derived), well within the 600 Pa maximum for MX.

Specification points for pharma and food areas

The datasheet calls out the Prosafe certification, the food contact test to EC 1935:2004 and the chemical resistance to decontamination and cleaning agents. These are useful for tender checklists: attach the datasheet to the submittal and ask for the individual test protocol for each filter.

The grille finish, RAL 9016 painted expanded metal, is cleanable, but check the compatibility of your specific cleaning agent with the manufacturer before routine use.

MX panels printed in the data sheet

MX14-2G10-305x610x90-1PU 300 m3/h 105 Pa 6.6 m2 3.9 kg
MX14-2G10-457x457x90-1PU 338 m3/h 105 Pa 7.3 m2 4.1 kg
MX14-2G10-508x508x90-1PU 418 m3/h 105 Pa 9.1 m2 5.1 kg
MX14-2G10-610x610x90-1PU (this page) 605 m3/h 95 Pa 13.2 m2 6.5 kg
MX14-2G10-1220x610x90-1PU 1,206 m3/h 95 Pa 26.7 m2 12 kg

The type code reads class (MX14, H14), a media code (2G10 as printed), face size, depth and a gasket code (1PU). Keep the full string. The 610 x 610 size has the best resistance in the MX table, at 95 Pa, together with the 610 x 1220 panel.

Installation and handling

The glass fibre media is delicate: handle the panel by the frame only and keep it in its PE film until installation. Confirm that the gasket arrangement (1PU, polyurethane) suits the housing. Photos and data reflect the family; consult Camfil for the individual test protocol, which is delivered with each filter. See other filtration elements.

Fitting and replacement notes

The panel is installed in a cleanroom ceiling or housing with the gasket sealing against the frame, so check the frame dimensions, the grille side and the airflow direction before fitting. Cleanroom filters are normally tested after installation, so coordinate with the validation team, and keep the original packing until installation to avoid contamination.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full filter code, the quantity, the housing or frame type it must fit, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and any prefilters or accessories, so that the complete filter set can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Filter class, airflow, pressure drop and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand

Camfil is a Swedish manufacturer of air filters and clean air solutions, founded in 1963 in Trosa, Sweden, by Gösta Larson as a joint venture with the American Cambridge Filter Corporation. It started by supplying the high-grade filters that Sweden's new nuclear plants needed. The Larson family bought out Cambridge in 1983, and Camfil remains family-controlled.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Camfil filters against the exact type code on the Camfil data sheet, for HVAC contractors, facility teams and plant engineers in Oman and the GCC.

Camfil product series

Bag filters include the Cam-Flo ES ePM1 70%, the Basic-Flo ePM10 70% economy bag, the Hi-Cap CO60 coarse prefilter and the City-Flo ePM1 85% bag with activated carbon for urban air. The 30/30 panel prefilter is a pleated ePM10 50% filter for the first stage of an air handling unit.

Compact and box filters include the Opakair F8 and Airopac F7 filters, and HEPA filters include the Absolute VG H13 compact filter and the Megalam ProSafe MX14 H14 panel for cleanrooms and controlled environments. The CamClose compact coalescing pre-filter protects gas turbine and engine intakes against salt and moisture.

Where Camfil filters are used

Air handling units in offices, malls, hospitals and hotels, cleanrooms and laboratories, pharmaceutical and food plants, data centres, and gas turbine and compressor air intakes, where dust and humidity in the Gulf climate shorten filter life.

Ordering Camfil filters: what we need

Send the Camfil type code, or the filter class (ISO 16890 ePM rating or EN 1822 HEPA class), the face size and depth, the number of pockets for bag filters, the frame material, the airflow and the quantity. A photo of the label on the old filter usually gives all of this.

Facts checked against Camfil's own historical review (camfil.com), October 2026.
