The NE22007-104111 series is described by Winsonic as an IoT wireless router that combines 4G networking and VPN functions. It provides one WAN port and four LAN ports, a single SIM slot, optional 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and a console connector carrying RS232 and RS485. The full-metal enclosure measures 150 x 90 x 28 mm and sits on a desk or mounts on a wall, so it is aimed at shops, kiosks and branch-office back-up links as well as field sites.

It runs Linux OpenWrt, which lets integrators develop their own applications; the manufacturer states that secondary development guidance is provided.

Choose NE22007-104111 for a compact five-port router where a single SIM and 10/100 Ethernet are enough; for dual SIM and DIN-rail mounting choose the NE22003 or NE22004 series, for example NE22002-101111. The supply range of 5 to 36 V DC suits vehicle and battery installations, but it carries no EN 50155 claim in its datasheet.

The datasheet cites CCC and RoHS only; ask Winsonic if other regional approvals are required. The 1.8 GHz network option is mentioned as optional, so state it at enquiry.

As an integrator platform it stands out: the OpenWrt Linux base permits custom applications, and the datasheet states that developer guidance is available. The DTU functions support TCP and UDP transparent transmission, TCP server mode and a Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP bridge, which suits meter and PLC reading over the RS232 or RS485 console connector. Remote management can be through SNMP or the StarLink STAR DEVICE MANAGER platform named in the datasheet, and firmware can be updated by the web page or over the air by FOTA.

Plan antennas carefully: two 4G antennas and one optional Wi-Fi antenna fit the three SMA connectors. The 12 V 1 A power adapter is listed as the external supply, while the wide input range permits direct DC wiring. The unit works from -35 to 75 degrees C. Because the datasheet lists no EN 50155 or similar approval, do not specify it for rail rolling stock without written confirmation. Traffic statistics and alerts help control data plans on metered SIM cards.
