Winsonic NE11006-20432A 4-Port Gigabit + 2 SFP Ring Managed Industrial Switch

A six-port managed switch for small ring nodes

The NE11006-20432A is an industrial managed switch with four 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and two 1000 Mbps SFP slots. It adds ring-network capability to the compact 110 x 90 x 46 mm housing used by the Winsonic six-port and ten-port models. Without PoE it runs from 12 to 55 V DC, so it can share a 24 V cabinet supply with PLCs and sensors.

Winsonic names the ordering line 4-Port Gigabit + 2G SFP Industrial Fast Ring Managed Switch. It is the non-PoE counterpart of NE11005-20442A.

The design is intentionally simple: four copper ports for local equipment and two fibre ports for the ring. Because it is managed, the switch can still enforce VLANs, rate limits and access lists, so a small node does not have to be less secure than a large one. The 8.92 Mpps forwarding rate and 4.1 Mbit buffer are sufficient for four Gigabit ports plus two uplinks.

Application guidance

Choose NE11006-20432A for a small cabinet that needs fibre in and out and four copper device ports: an electric panel room, a CNC cell or a gate controller. If any endpoint needs PoE, select NE11005-20442A instead; for eight copper ports select NE11004-20834A. Check the SFP types before purchase, since 1000BASE-X media is multimode or single-mode fibre per the datasheet.

Typical installation involves screwing or rail-mounting the unit, connecting the 12 to 55 V DC supply, patching the two SFP modules into the ring and using the console or web page to set the management address. The panel indicators show power, link and activity and system state, which helps non-specialist technicians confirm that the unit is alive. Spanning tree protocols are available where the topology is not a simple ring, and aggregation helps when two links join the same neighbour.

Surge protection of 2 kV differential and 4 kV common mode and electrostatic discharge protection of 6 kV contact and 8 kV air are printed in the datasheet. They help in industrial areas, but they do not replace proper earthing of the enclosure and the cable screens. The unit is rated -40 to 75 degrees C operating and -40 to 80 degrees C storage, so it can be warehoused and installed in hot climates without special handling.
