The Micro Motion G-Series Flow and Density Meters are ultracompact and lightweight, making them easy to install even in the most confined areas. Whether you are operating in the chemical, oil & gas, food and beverage, or life sciences industry, these meters provide consistent and accurate mass flow, volume flow, density, and temperature measurements.

These meters feature an all-welded construction, corrosion-resistant materials, and are engineered to handle aggressive fluids and harsh operating conditions. With built-in smart diagnostics and no moving parts, the G-Series requires minimal maintenance and ensures long-term operational reliability. The device is compatible with various transmitters and supports digital communication protocols such as HART®, Modbus®, and FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus.

The Micro Motion G-Series Flow and Density Meters are particularly valued for their ability to deliver fast and accurate results in batching, blending, dosing, and filling operations. Their high accuracy, combined with low pressure drop and zero straight-pipe run requirements, make them an ideal solution for installation flexibility and process efficiency.

In addition, G-Series meters are equipped with advanced self-verification features, allowing users to validate meter performance without process interruption. This not only ensures ongoing process quality but also reduces downtime and maintenance costs.

Each G-Series meter comes calibrated and ready for installation, ensuring a quick start-up and seamless integration into your existing system. Emerson also offers global technical support and remote configuration services for enhanced productivity and uptime.

If you’re looking for a highly reliable, space-saving solution that doesn’t compromise on accuracy, the Micro Motion G-Series Flow and Density Meters are the perfect choice. From high-performance dosing to precise density measurement, the G-Series is engineered to help you maximize productivity, quality, and profitability.

Technical Specifications

The Micro Motion G-Series platform is available in five body sizes — G025, G050, G100, G200, and G300 — covering tube inside diameters from roughly 5.3 mm to 40 mm, so the correct model is selected to match the actual process flow range rather than forcing a single body size across every application. Emerson offers three accuracy tiers on the G-Series depending on process needs: an Enhanced accuracy option rated to ±0.1% of reading on liquids, an Intermediate tier at ±0.15% on liquids, and a Basic tier at ±0.25% on liquids and ±0.5% on gases — giving buyers a genuine cost/accuracy tradeoff instead of a one-size-fits-all spec.

Wetted parts are constructed from 316/316L stainless steel for broad chemical compatibility, and the sensor housing carries an IP66/IP67 ingress protection rating, supporting reliable operation in washdown-prone food and beverage plants as well as outdoor and marine-exposed industrial sites. Process connections are available in ASME, EN, and JIS standards, which matters directly for GCC projects that mix American and European piping specifications on the same skid.

On the communications side, the G-Series supports HART, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and WirelessHART, giving integrators a genuine choice of fieldbus depending on the plant’s existing DCS/PLC architecture rather than locking the customer into one protocol. Safety-instrumented systems are supported as well: the platform is capable of SIL2 (single sensor) and SIL3 (redundant/voted configuration) service, which is a meaningful consideration for GCC oil & gas and petrochemical customers running formal functional-safety programs under IEC 61508/61511.

Why the G-Series Suits Space-Constrained GCC Installations

Many retrofit and skid-mounted projects across Oman’s oil & gas, petrochemical, and food-processing sectors simply do not have room for a full-length Coriolis meter with long straight-pipe runs. Because the G-Series requires zero straight-run piping and has a genuinely compact footprint compared to larger Micro Motion families (such as the F-Series or R-Series), it is frequently the correct choice for tight skid packages, mobile blending units, and existing pipeline sections being upgraded from older technology without a full re-pipe. Its all-welded, no-moving-parts construction also reduces the maintenance burden in remote or offshore-adjacent sites where technician visits are costly and infrequent.

Typical Applications

Across Oman’s industrial base, G-Series meters are commonly specified for chemical dosing and additive injection skids, fuel and lubricant blending, food and beverage batching lines requiring hygienic washdown, life-science and pharmaceutical dosing where traceable accuracy is mandatory, and general utility flow monitoring on compressed gas or process water lines where space around the pipe run is limited. The meter’s built-in smart diagnostics and self-verification also make it a practical fit for plants moving toward predictive-maintenance programs, since meter health can be checked without shutting the process down for a manual proving run.

Ordering and Configuration Notes

When requesting a quotation, Seven Star LLC will ask for the expected minimum and maximum flow rate, the process fluid and its density/viscosity, operating temperature and pressure, the required accuracy tier, and the preferred output protocol, so the correct G-Series body size and transmitter combination can be confirmed against Emerson’s published performance curves rather than assumed from the line size alone. This is especially important on retrofit projects, where the existing pipe size does not always match the flow range the process actually needs.

Why Seven Star LLC

Seven Star LLC supplies genuine Emerson Micro Motion G-Series flow and density meters to industrial customers across Oman and the wider GCC, helping process engineers select the correct body size, accuracy tier, and communication protocol for their specific application — whether that is high-accuracy custody-transfer-grade dosing or a straightforward utility flow measurement point. Working closely with plant engineers in the region, Seven Star LLC ensures every unit is genuine Emerson equipment with full documentation, backed by regional technical support for installation, commissioning, and long-term calibration planning.

About brand
Coriolis flow and density meters have carried the Micro Motion name since 1977, when the company started in Boulder, USA. A Coriolis meter measures mass flow directly and reads density from the same tubes. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Oman, lists the Micro Motion ELITE CMF400 Coriolis flow and density meter and the compact G-Series, and sources Micro Motion flow meters by complete model code.

Micro Motion meter families

ELITE is the manufacturer's top performance family for flow and density, and the CMF400 is one of its larger line sizes. The G-Series is a newer, very compact family for general duty. Each sensor is paired with a Coriolis transmitter, and the range also includes density and viscosity meters. Liquids, gases and slurries can all be measured, which is why these meters appear in oil and gas, refining, chemical, food and marine service.

Ordering Micro Motion meters: what we need

A Micro Motion sensor and its transmitter each have their own model code and serial number; send both. For a new meter we need the fluid, flow range, density, viscosity, operating pressure and temperature, line size, process connection and rating, wetted material, hazardous area approval, outputs and protocol. Custody transfer duty in the GCC should be stated up front because it changes the approvals and calibration options requested.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of flow measurement technology does the Micro Motion G-Series use?
It is a Coriolis meter, which directly measures mass flow, volume flow, density, and temperature of the process fluid rather than inferring them indirectly, giving high accuracy independent of fluid properties.
What communication protocols does the G-Series support?
It supports HART, Modbus, and FOUNDATION Fieldbus digital communication, allowing it to integrate with most existing DCS/PLC infrastructure.
Why is the G-Series suitable for space-constrained installations?
It uses an ultracompact, lightweight, all-welded construction with no moving parts, so it can be installed in tight spaces while still handling aggressive fluids and harsh operating conditions reliably.
Does the G-Series require straight pipe runs for accurate measurement?
No, as a Coriolis meter the G-Series has zero straight-pipe-run requirements, giving more installation flexibility than traditional flow meters that need long inlet/outlet piping.
How does the G-Series support in-service verification?
It includes built-in smart diagnostics and self-verification features that let users validate meter performance without interrupting the process, reducing both downtime and maintenance costs.
