Raytec SPX-HPFL300-W-9090 SPARTAN Zone 1 High Power Floodlight
Description
SPX-HPFL300-W-9090 is the SPARTAN High Power Flood HPFL300 for Zone 1/21: 384 LEDs, 240 W, 34,187 lm with the 90 x 90 degree optic and a CX-class coated marine-grade aluminium body rated IP66 and IP67.
The highest-output SPARTAN floodlight for large classified areas
The HPFL range has three power levels, HPFL100 (167 W), HPFL200 (200 W) and HPFL300 (240 W), all with 384 LEDs. Raytec quotes up to 34,500 lm and best-in-class efficacy of 151 lm/W for the range, ten optic choices and a modular design in which key components can be replaced independently in the field.
The part code builder reads SPX (family), HPFL300 (model), W (white light) and 9090 (optic, 90 x 90 degrees), with DALI, CCT and entry left unstated, so this is the 6500 K, M20 entry version without DALI. The datasheet shows DALI 2.0 only on HPFL100 and HPFL200, not on the HPFL300.
Key features as printed in the datasheet
- Marine-grade aluminium with Raytec CX Shield coating, corrosion class CX per ISO 12944-9:2018.
- IK09 impact rating and IP66/IP67 ingress protection.
- Ten optic choices; circular 60, 90, 120 and 140 degrees plus elliptical and asymmetric patterns.
- Options listed: 4000 K, M25 entries, wildlife-friendly spectrum and remote-mounted driver.

HPFL100, HPFL200 or HPFL300, and which optic
The three models share the same 384-LED body: HPFL100 gives 25,217 lm at 60 x 60 on 167 W, HPFL200 29,800 lm on 200 W and HPFL300 34,560 lm on 240 W. The HPFL300 has the lowest upper ambient limit (+60 °C against +70 °C for the HPFL100), a trade-off that matters in the Gulf.
The 9090 optic gives a wide symmetrical pattern for open yards, while 6060 is narrower and 140140 is widest; PP and AR optics suit pathways and areas. Specials are the wildlife-friendly variant (example SPX-HPFL100-A-9090) and a remote mount option. Confirm optic, voltage and ambient before ordering.
Installation notes
Raytec cites installation guide 1050-D-00028 for the SPARTAN high power flood, which also covers the Zone 2 SPZ version. The stirrup bracket is shown in the dimension drawing, and with 18.5 kg weight suitable fixing structures should be checked.
Only certified glands and stopper plugs may be used in the M20 entries, and the datasheet temperature range reduces with model power, so check the maximum site ambient and the certificate conditions, before installation.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
The HPFL300 is intended for wide open areas: tank farms, process plant laydown, jetties, flare-side yards and well sites where a few high mounting positions must give high lux over a large classified area. The CX corrosion class is relevant to coastal and offshore-support sites with salt-laden air.
Selection and installation notes
A luminaire for a classified area is selected from the zone, the gas or dust group and the temperature class stated on the certificate, and the installation must follow the local hazardous area rules. Use certified glands and cable, keep the enclosure sealed, do not modify the unit, check the supply voltage and the mounting height for the light level needed, and keep records of inspections as the site procedure requires.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
Compatible accessories and related items
Related items are the wildlife-friendly and remote-mount specials, the lower power HPFL100 and HPFL200, and the standard SPARTAN Flood. See the category page for other Raytec lighting.
