Danfoss 132L6108 iC2-Micro Drive 1.5 kW 1-Phase 230 V IP20

Description

iC2-Micro 1.5 kW single-phase: a compact drive for machines on a 230 V supply

Danfoss 132L6108 is an iC2-Micro frequency converter of 1.5 kW (2 HP) for a single-phase 200 to 240 V supply, with a rated output current of 6.8 A. The type code is IC2-30FA1N02-06A8E20F4+ACXX: “FA” means air-cooled frequency converter, “1N” a single-phase input, “02” the 200 to 240 V class, “06A8” the 6.8 A current rating and “E20” the IP20 / open-type protection.

The enclosure designation is MA02c, and the unit weighs 1.275 kg. It is a small drive: this is the one to choose when the plant offers only single-phase power, for example in small workshops, rural pump stations or machines built for export to markets with 230 V supply.

Single-phase input: what to remember

A single-phase supply draws a higher input current than a three-phase one for the same output power, and the DC-link ripple is larger. Size the supply cable, the breaker and the fuse according to the input current in the guide, not the motor current. The output of the drive is three-phase, so a three-phase motor can be used.

The EMC category listed is C4, which is the least restrictive class and is intended for industrial systems; a residential or commercial installation may need an external filter. There is no integrated brake chopper in this code.

Installation notes

The operating guide for the iC2-Micro states that an IP20 drive must be installed in a cabinet or with an IP21 conversion kit to avoid electric shock. Keep the ventilation clearances and fix the unit on a flat plate. Use shielded motor cable and ground both ends of the shield.

The “+ACXX” suffix means no integrated brake chopper, “+EAXXXXXX” no customisation and “+ECXXX” the latest released software, according to the store decoding.

On export machines and small farm or workshop sites the available supply is often a single phase. Before ordering, verify the supply voltage at the site, because a nominal 230 V network can be as low as 200 V at the end of a long line. Tell us the motor nameplate and the cable length, and we will check that the selected size and the information on this page are consistent with your request.

Keep the data sheet, a photograph of the nameplate and the order code 132L6108 together in the plant record. The same family contains many similar codes that differ only in range, connection or options, and a clear record saves time when a spare is needed during a shutdown.

Ordering notes

Confirm the supply (single or three-phase), motor current and enclosure before ordering. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat and can quote 132L6108. The attached file is the Danfoss iC2-Micro operating guide AQ379331704297; related drives are under AC drives.

About brand

Danfoss is the Danish engineering group that makes refrigeration and air-conditioning controls, heating components, variable speed drives and mobile hydraulics. Mads Clausen founded it on 1 September 1933 at his parents' farm in Nordborg on the island of Als, after making his first refrigeration expansion valve in 1932. Nordborg is still the group's headquarters, and Danfoss remains controlled by the Clausen family through the Bitten & Mads Clausen Foundation.

Danfoss company profile

First product Thermostatic expansion valve for refrigeration
Headquarters Nordborg, Denmark
Ownership Private; majority controlled by the Bitten & Mads Clausen Foundation and the Clausen family
Size About 42,000 employees (2023)
Business segments Danfoss Climate Solutions (refrigeration, air conditioning and heating), Danfoss Drives (VLT and VACON frequency converters, soft starters), Danfoss Power Solutions (mobile and industrial hydraulics)
Brands in the group VLT, VACON, Eaton Hydraulics (bought 2021), Ikusi radio remote controls

Milestones

  • 1932–1933: First expansion valve; the company is founded in Nordborg.
  • 1939: 26 employees. By the 10th anniversary in 1943 the company has 179.
  • 1950s: Rapid growth turns Nordborg into a Danfoss town with housing and schools for its workforce.
  • 1968: Danfoss launches its VLT frequency converter, one of the first mass-produced AC drives.
  • 2014: Acquisition of the Finnish drives maker Vacon, now the VACON brand.
  • 2021: Acquisition of Eaton's hydraulics business.

Choosing Danfoss products

For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit. For drives, the VLT family is split by application: FC 51 Micro Drive for small machines, FC 102 HVAC Drive for fans and pumps in buildings, FC 202 AQUA Drive for water, and FC 302 AutomationDrive for demanding industrial duty.

Where Danfoss products are used

In Oman and the GCC, Danfoss drives run pumps, fans and compressors in district cooling plants, water and wastewater stations, desalination and building HVAC. Danfoss pressure switches, transmitters and solenoid valves are built into chillers, refrigeration plants, boilers and hydraulic systems, and AB-QM valves balance chilled-water circuits in large buildings.

Ordering Danfoss products: what we need

Send the Danfoss code number from the label (for example 032U7115 or 131B0149) or the full drive type code (FC-302P3K0T5...). For drives, add the motor power, supply voltage and any fieldbus option. For valves, add the size, connection, medium and coil voltage. For pressure switches and transmitters, add the range, output and pressure connection.

Facts checked against Danfoss's company history pages and published company data, October 2026.
