Danfoss 132F0026 VLT Micro Drive FC 51 4.0 kW 380-480 V Frequency Converter
Description
A 4 kW drive for 5.5 hp motors on 400 V networks
132F0026 is the 4.0 kW (5.5 hp) VLT Micro Drive FC 51 for 380-480 V three-phase supplies, model code FC-051P4K0T4E20H3BXCXXXSXXX. The request lists it as the FC-051P4K0 type code with this number in brackets, and the Danfoss Design Guide and online store confirm that 132F0026 is the ordering number for that code. It shares the M3 frame with the 3 kW and 5.5 kW units but delivers 9.0 A continuous at 380-440 V, which is the figure to compare with the motor nameplate of a standard 4 kW machine.

Choosing the 4 kW rating and what it needs
The 4 kW rating is one of the most frequently specified sizes for pumps and fans on 400 V and 415 V plants, because it matches the common 4 kW, 1450 rpm motor. Allow for the input current of 14.4 A at 380-440 V when sizing cables; the Design Guide recommends a 40 A gG fuse or Bussmann KTS-R40. The IP20 chassis must be installed in a cabinet with 100 mm of free air above and below for cooling, and side-by-side mounting is permitted. Estimated power loss is 98.5 W best case and 133.5 W typical, which is the heat to remove from the panel.
Compared with the 3 kW unit the 4 kW drive has a 25 percent higher continuous output current, rising from 7.2 A to 9.0 A at 380-440 V, while the enclosure is identical. Heat loss grows from 98.5 W to 133.5 W typical, which is the figure a panel builder needs for cooling calculations; efficiency is 98.0 percent best case and 97.3 percent typical. The Danfoss store lists the 132F0026 with a net weight of 2.716 kg and a gross weight of 3.236 kg. The input current of 14.4 A at 380-440 V and 12.4 A at 440-480 V should be used for the supply cable, and 4 mm2 terminals accept the motor leads.
Ordering number, accessories and availability
In FC-051P4K0T4E20H3BXCXXXSXXX, P4K0 means 4.0 kW, with the same T4 voltage class and B brake option. For the M3 frame the Design Guide lists a Type 1 kit 132B0105 and a decoupling plate 132B0107 and an IP21 kit 132B0110. Line Filter MCC 107 130B2531 is paired with 132F0026 in the ordering table. Danfoss lists a last time buy on 30 June 2026 and last delivery on 30 September 2026 and links an upgrade to the iC2-Micro range. Availability must be checked. Key features of the VLT Micro Drive FC 51
- VVC+ voltage vector control for good torque at low speed, with simple U/f control as an alternative for multi-motor or special applications.
- Built-in brake chopper (B option in the type code) for connecting an external brake resistor on loads that decelerate quickly or overhaul.
- Integrated H3 RFI filter for class A1/B (C1), which reduces the need for an external EMC filter in many installations.
- 150 percent overload for one minute, enough for the breakaway torque of most pumps, fans and conveyors.
- Compact IP20 M3 book-style frame that can be mounted side by side to save panel width.
- Built-in PI controller for closed-loop pressure or flow control without an external controller.
Typical applications
At 4 kW the FC 51 is used on booster and transfer pumps, ventilation and extract fans, cooling tower fans, small conveyors and mixers. Using the built-in PI controller with a pressure transmitter, a pump can hold a constant header pressure while saving energy at partial load compared with throttling valves.
Operating in Oman and GCC conditions
The drive is an IP20 chassis unit and must be installed in a cabinet. In Gulf summers, panel interiors in outdoor kiosks can become very hot, and the 133.5 W typical loss of this drive adds to that heat. Size the panel cooling or air conditioning using this figure, keep the 100 mm clearance above and below, and use filtered air inlets to reduce dust build-up on the heatsink. Where the cabinet temperature or site altitude exceeds the standard rating in the Design Guide, apply the derating it specifies or choose the next size. Long motor cables, common on pump stations, increase leakage currents and voltage stress; check the maximum cable length in the Design Guide and consider an output filter for long runs.
Installation and maintenance
- Use screened motor cable with the screen terminated at both ends via the decoupling plate for EMC compliance.
- Separate control wiring from motor and supply cables.
- Enter motor nameplate data before the first start so the drive can model the motor correctly.
- Clean the heatsink and check fan operation during planned maintenance, more often in dusty sites.
- Save the parameter set with the local control panel or software so a replacement unit can be set up quickly.
Planning for the end of the FC 51 range
Because Danfoss has announced last time buy and last delivery dates for the FC 51, plants with many installed units should decide whether to stock spares or plan migration to the iC2-Micro. When migrating, check the frame dimensions, terminal layout, parameters and accessories, since a successor drive will not always be a direct mechanical or functional replacement.
What to include in your RFQ
List the ordering number 132F0026 with the full type code, the quantity, the motor kW and current, supply voltage, required accessories (Type 1 kit, IP21 kit, decoupling plate, line filter, brake resistor, local control panel) and whether an iC2-Micro alternative is acceptable.

About brand
From its headquarters in Nordborg, Denmark, where it was founded in 1933, Danfoss makes the drives, valves and sensors found in pump rooms, chiller plants and cold stores. Its blue VLT frequency converters are probably the most familiar of them.
Seven Star LLC lists Danfoss VLT drives, pressure transmitters, refrigeration valves and HVAC control valves, and supplies them to contractors and plant owners in Oman against the exact code number on the label.
Danfoss product families on this page
Among the VLT drives listed, three are each aimed at a different duty: the VLT HVAC Drive FC 102 for fans and building services, the VLT AQUA Drive FC 202 for water and wastewater pumping, and the VLT AutomationDrive FC 302 for general industrial machinery. The LCP 12 control panel with potentiometer (code number 132B0101) is also listed; Danfoss specifies it for the VLT Micro Drive FC 51. In pressure measurement there are the MBS 3000 general purpose transmitter and the MBS 5100. Valves include the AB-QM pressure independent control valve in DN 15 to DN 250, the EVR 25 servo-operated solenoid valve and the ICV pilot-operated valve for industrial refrigeration.
Where Danfoss equipment is used
District cooling and chilled water plants, air handling units, booster and irrigation pump stations, desalination and wastewater works, ammonia and CO2 refrigeration plants, food storage and marine engine rooms are the usual places. Demand in the GCC is driven largely by cooling and water.
Ordering Danfoss parts: what we need
Every Danfoss product has a code number, and drives also carry a long type code string on the label. Send both. For a drive we need the motor power and current, the mains voltage, enclosure rating, any fieldbus or option card and the filter class. For an MBS transmitter give the pressure span, output signal, pressure connection and electrical connection. For valves give the size, connection type, coil voltage where relevant and the refrigerant or medium.
