Pressure filtration for hydraulic lines up to 420 bar
The Hydac DF is an inline pressure filter that protects valves, servo valves and pumps downstream of the pump. The head is ductile iron (EN-GJS 400-15) with a screw-in steel bowl. The DFF variant is built for oil flow in both directions, so it can sit in a line where the flow reverses, for example between a pump-motor unit and the valve block.
Thirteen element sizes are listed, DF 30 up to DF 1500, with a nominal pressure of 420 bar and a maximum flow of 960 l/min for the series. The larger bodies use a two-piece bowl, and some sizes allow the element to be removed from above, which matters where there is little room under the filter.

Ordering code and housing variants
The example code in the datasheet is DF SN 1500 T L L 10 D 1 .X /-L24. After the series and element material come the size, the pressure letter (T = 420 bar), an optional head form (L means L-shaped flow, only DF/DFF 1500), the connection letter and the filtration rating. The clogging indicator letter then selects the plug (A), visual (B), manual-reset visual (BM), electrical (C), visual and electrical (D), or the LE and LZ versions with electrical switching at 100 percent, or at 75 and 100 percent, of the response pressure.
The type code gives the bowl design: 1 is a one-piece bowl up to size 660, 2 is a two-piece bowl from 660 upward, and 3 is a top-removable element for sizes 330 to 1320. Supplementary details cover FKM seals (V), a response pressure (A2 for 2 bar), a bypass cracking pressure (B6 for 6 bar), a pressure-relief and drain plug (SO184, for the 330 series and above), HFA or HFC suitability (W), lamp voltages and low-current versions for PLC or ATEX use (SO135).
The spare element is coded in the same way, for instance 0067 D 010 SN.
Fluids and installation notes
Mineral hydraulic oils HL to HVLP, lubrication oils, compressor oils and flame-retardant fluids HFA to HFD are listed as compatible. Readily biodegradable fluids (HETG, HEES, HEPG) are possible only with FKM seals. Fluids with a water content above 50 percent are available on request.
Earth the housing, for example through the pipework, and de-energise the system before pulling an electrical indicator connector. Confirm flow direction (DF or DFF), connection type and the cracking pressure of any bypass before you order, because those cannot be changed on the installed filter.
