Konecranes CLX Electric Chain Hoist

Description

A compact electric chain hoist for workstation and light-duty overhead lifting

The Konecranes CLX electric chain hoist is built for everyday lifting at workstations, on monorails, jib cranes and light overhead cranes. Konecranes describes it as supporting fast, smooth and precise movement of loads up to 5,000 kg, with the motor, brake and gear designed specifically for lifting and manufactured in-house. For maintenance teams in workshops, fabrication yards and plant rooms it is a smaller, simpler alternative to a wire rope hoist when loads are modest and handling needs to be accurate.

Features that matter on the shop floor

The CLX uses a patented chain drive that reduces stress on the chain, an embedded hoist limit switch, a securing brake and a hook block with a solid rubber grip. The brake is self-adjusting and needs no adjustment over its life, the gearbox is maintenance-free, and the same components are used across frame sizes, which reduces the number of spare parts a site has to hold. The SLX variant adds stepless inverter-controlled speeds, extended speed range, slack chain control and shock load absorption.

What to confirm before ordering

Give the working load, lifting height, number of chain falls, supply voltage and frequency, control type (pendant or radio) and whether a trolley is needed. Hoists are not rated for personnel lifting. For heavier or higher-duty lifting see the Konecranes CXT wire rope hoist, and further equipment under Material Handling and Lifting Equipment.

About brand

Konecranes, headquartered in Hyvinkää, Finland, builds overhead cranes, hoists and other lifting equipment for workshops, factories and heavy industry. Seven Star LLC lists the Konecranes CXT electric wire rope hoist and CLX electric chain hoist and supplies Konecranes hoists and hoist spare parts to industrial sites in Oman. Since a hoist is always tied to a specific crane, each inquiry starts from the data plate of the installed unit.

Konecranes hoists and cranes

The CXT wire rope hoist is the lifting unit of the CXT crane family. Beside it the manufacturer shows the CXT NEO crane package, X-series and S-series rope hoist cranes, C-series and D-series electric chain hoists, and EXCXT hoist cranes for hazardous environments. Choosing among them depends on load, lifting height, duty class and where the crane operates.

Ordering Konecranes equipment: what we need

Send the hoist type and serial number from the data plate, the rated load, lifting height, hoisting and travel speeds, duty class, and the supply and control voltages. For parts, name the component, such as rope, rope guide, brake, contactor or pendant, and attach photos. For a new hoist on an existing crane in the GCC, add the girder type and trolley gauge.
