Sizing and ordering the SG125CX-P2

String design starts with the 180 to 1000 V MPPT window and the 1100 V absolute maximum; the recommended maximum array is 175 kW (175 kW against 125 kW, a derived 1.4 DC/AC ratio). With 30 A per MPPT, two strings per MPPT and 12 MPPTs, up to 24 strings connect directly. Select the AC voltage (220/380 V or 230/400 V) and decide whether WLAN or Ethernet communication, optimizers or RSD are required, because the datasheet marks these as optional and asks you to consult Sungrow before ordering optimizer or RSD combinations.

Installation and operation notes

The inverter is wall-mounted on a bracket and weighs up to 93 kg, so plan lifting and the structure. AC cabling is made with OT or DT terminals; the drawer-style sealing plate and pre-assembled AC cable are intended to speed wiring. Commissioning and monitoring are by Bluetooth and the app, and RS485 communication is standard. Cooling is smart forced air, so keep the clearances stated in the user manual; the manual also defines the full-load MPPT voltage range.

Where the SG125CX-P2 is used

It suits commercial and industrial rooftops, carports, factory roofs and small ground-mount plants. The rated ambient to 60 C, 0-100 percent humidity and C5 corrosion rating match the heat and coastal air of the Gulf, but derating, shading and soiling losses should still be modelled by the designer. Local utility approval (for example grid connection requirements in Oman or the UAE) is separate from the datasheet and must be confirmed.
