Brand:

KSB RPHd Double-Suction BB2 Process Pump to API 610

Description

Double-suction between-bearings pump for high flow rates

The KSB RPHd is a double-suction, single-stage heavy-duty BB2 process pump to API 610 / ISO 13709. A double-suction impeller feeds the eye from both sides, which balances axial thrust and lowers the NPSH required, so the design suits high-flow refinery, petrochemical and offshore duties. KSB lists refineries, petrochemical and chemical industries, and onshore and offshore processes.

The pump combines a double volute with a double-suction impeller and, as in the other RPH variants, KSB quotes better efficiency and NPSH values than OH2 pumps.

Design features

The top-top flange arrangement allows easy monitoring and servicing, and the suction-side casing cover simplifies rotor removal. Wear rings on casing and impeller can be replaced and the modular design reduces spare parts stock. A reinforced, optimised shaft gives a robust design, and integrated cooling fins with an optional fan impeller cool the bearing brackets without a separate cooling circuit.

Choosing between RPH variants

The RPH family covers three layouts in this range: the single-stage OH2 RPH, the two-stage RPHb and this double-suction RPHd. As a guide taken from the leaflets, RPHd reaches the highest flow (up to 6000 m3/h) while RPHb reaches the highest head (up to 800 m); a duty that needs both may require a different pump family. KSB supplies a hydraulic selection chart for each.

Documents and quotation

Provide flow, head, NPSH available, fluid, temperatures, material class, seal plan and driver. Confirm the leaflet edition (03.24) with current documentation for your project.

The attached KSB leaflet is the manufacturer document for the RPHd and lists the technical data used above. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, quotes KSB pumps against your duty data. About brand

Pumps and valves have been the whole business of KSB since 1871, and the Frankenthal company's type series names are a fixture on nameplates in water, building services, energy and process plants. Seven Star LLC lists KSB pump families including Etanorm, Movitec, Multitec and Omega, and supplies KSB pumps and spare parts to operators and contractors in Oman and the GCC, matching each request to the manufacturer's documentation.

KSB pump series we list

  • Etanorm: horizontal single-stage volute casing pump with ratings and main dimensions to EN 733, back pull-out design, replaceable casing wear rings.
  • Movitec: vertical multistage high-pressure pump in ring-section design, with suction and discharge nozzles of the same diameter in line.
  • Multitec: multistage ring-section pump for horizontal or vertical mounting, built in materials from cast iron to duplex stainless steel.

Ordering KSB pumps and parts: what we need

For a spare part, send the type series and size, the KSB order number and serial number from the nameplate, and the part number from the sectional drawing. For a new pump, give flow, head, liquid, temperature, suction conditions, material preference, and motor voltage and frequency. Mechanical seal code and impeller diameter matter on replacements, because one pump size is built in many variants.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the RPHd double-suction?
The impeller takes fluid from both sides, which balances axial thrust and lowers NPSH required.
What is the maximum flow?
Up to 5100 m3/h at 50 Hz and 6000 m3/h at 60 Hz.
Which pressure is listed?
Up to 80 bar.
What nominal diameters are covered?
100 to 400 mm (4 to 16 in).
How is the bearing bracket cooled?
By integrated cooling fins and an optional fan impeller, with no separate cooling circuit.
