The LKH is the premium hygienic centrifugal pump in the Alfa Laval range, with a semi-open impeller for gentle product handling. It is built in 13 sizes for flows up to 500 m³/h and is used in dairy, food, beverage and personal care lines. Related versions include LKH Prime (self-priming) and LKH UltraPure. The M6 is a gasketed plate heat exchanger whose plate pack can be opened for cleaning or extended with more plates.

For a pump, send the type, impeller diameter, seal type and elastomer, motor data and the serial number. For a plate heat exchanger, the serial number on the frame plate is the key, as it identifies plate material, gasket material and the number of plates. For a new unit, give both fluids, flows, inlet and outlet temperatures and the allowed pressure drop.

How do I order the right gaskets and plates for an Alfa Laval M6?
Use the serial number and type on the nameplate of the frame. Plates of one model are pressed in different patterns and materials, and gaskets come in several elastomers, so the model name alone does not define the part. Send the nameplate photo, the quantity of plates in the pack and, if possible, the plate hanging list.
Which LKH pump variant do I have?
The pump label gives the type and size, such as an LKH size number, together with the serial number and the impeller diameter. Self-priming and high-purity versions are named LKH Prime and LKH UltraPure on the label. Shaft seal type and elastomer are not always visible from outside, so the serial number is the reliable reference.
Which hygienic certificates come with Alfa Laval LKH pumps?
Certificates depend on the version ordered. Alfa Laval states EHEDG certification for the LKH UltraPure, for example, and material and surface finish documents are options chosen at the time of order. List the documents your quality department requires in the inquiry, and we will confirm which ones the manufacturer issues for that configuration.
