Jaquet FTW3013 Analog Module – Type 377Z-03984 (FT3000)
Overview
The Jaquet FTW3013 is an analog output module within the Jaquet FT3000 speed and overspeed protection system, converting processed frequency signals into standard 4-20 mA analog current outputs for integration with plant control and monitoring systems. It is used on rotating machinery — turbines, compressors, pumps, and generators — across power generation, oil and gas, and marine sectors in Oman and the GCC where precise, continuous speed feedback into a DCS or PLC is essential.
As part of the modular FT3000 platform, the FTW3013 slots into the system’s 19-inch rack architecture alongside speed-input and relay modules, letting plant engineers configure a complete overspeed protection and monitoring system tailored to the specific machine train being protected.
Operating Principle
The FT3000 system’s speed-input channels accept isolated frequency signals from 50 mV to 80 Vrms across a measuring range of 0 to 35 kHz, with accuracy of 0.1% of the set point, from both passive and active speed sensors. The FTW3013 analog module then takes this processed speed data and converts it into three independently configurable 0/4-20 mA current outputs, giving downstream control systems a continuously updated, proportional representation of shaft speed with 12-bit (1:4096) resolution and 0.1% linearity error.
Engineering Design of the Jaquet FTW3013
The FTW3013 card is built for the demanding reaction-time requirements of turbine and compressor protection duty, contributing to an overall FT3000 system reaction time as fast as 10 ms for safety-critical overspeed events. The module accepts a range of power supply options common to industrial rack systems — 115/230 Vac, 24/48 Vac, 14-70 Vdc, or 88-372 Vdc/85-264 Vac — letting it integrate into existing plant power architectures without additional conversion hardware.
Key Features
- Three independently configurable 0/4-20 mA analog outputs
- 12-bit resolution (1:4096), 0.1% linearity error
- Compatible with FT3000 speed-input range 0-35 kHz, accuracy 0.1% of set point
- Fast system reaction time, down to 10 ms for overspeed protection
- Modular 19-inch rack-mount design
- Multiple power supply options: AC and DC, wide voltage ranges
- Suited to redundant overspeed detection architectures
Industrial Applications
Across Muscat, Sohar, and Salalah, the Jaquet FTW3013 module is used in turbine and compressor overspeed protection and monitoring systems at power generation plants, LNG and gas processing facilities, and marine propulsion installations. Its analog output feeds shaft-speed data directly into a DCS, PLC, or dedicated turbine control system, supporting continuous condition monitoring alongside the FT3000’s protective trip functions.
The module is also specified into pump-station and hydroelectric applications where reliable, low-latency speed feedback is required for both operational control and safety-instrumented functions, and into marine vessel drivetrains requiring redundant speed sensing for propulsion monitoring.

Identifying the Correct FT3000 Analog Module
FT3000 systems are built from several card types, so the first step when ordering a spare is to confirm exactly which card has failed. Read the label on the front panel or side of the installed module and compare it with the system documentation for your machine train. The key references are:
- the module designation (FTW3013 for the analog output card);
- the Jaquet type or part number, for example 377Z-03984;
- the power supply variant used in your rack, since FT3000 systems are offered with several AC and DC supply options;
- the slot position and any configuration record kept with the system.
If the label is damaged or unreadable, a photo of the module, the rack layout and the system nameplate is usually enough for our team to narrow down the correct replacement.
Installation and Commissioning
Speed monitoring is often part of the machine protection chain, so plan the card replacement under your site’s permit and bypass procedures. Before removing the old card, write down its output configuration: the channel assignment, the 0 or 4 mA zero point and the speed range each output represents. After fitting the new card, load or re-enter the same settings and check each output end to end:
- inject a known frequency at the speed input, or use a calibrated signal generator where your procedures allow it;
- confirm the mA value at the module terminals and at the DCS or PLC input card;
- check that the scaling in the control system matches the scaling set on the module;
- record the as-left values for your maintenance files.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Common Symptoms
- Output stuck at 0 mA: check for an open loop, a loose terminal or a missing loop supply in the receiving card before suspecting the module.
- Output fixed at full scale or out of range: review the configured range and check whether the speed input channel itself is reporting a fault.
- Reading differs from the local speed display: compare the scaling on both ends of the loop; a mismatch in range settings is a more common cause than a failed card.
- Noisy signal in the DCS: check cable shielding and earthing, especially where analog cables run next to power or VFD cabling.
Keep a configuration backup for each FT3000 system and review it after every intervention. In hot equipment rooms, check cabinet cooling and filters regularly, as electronics life drops quickly at high panel temperatures.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
Gas turbine generators, export gas compressors and large pumps in the region often run long intervals between shutdowns. A spare analog card on the shelf means a failed speed signal to the DCS can be fixed within a planned window instead of waiting for shipping during an outage.

Jaquet FT3000 modules on our site
Two parts are listed at present, both belonging to the FT3000 system. The FTW3013 analog module carries type number 377Z-03984, and the FTFU3024-E01 motherboard carries type number 377Z-03981. On Jaquet electronics the module name and the 377Z type number together identify the exact version.Ordering Jaquet spare parts: what we need
Send the module designation and the full 377Z type number from the label, with any revision or serial number printed beside it. Add a photo of the label and of the rack position, and tell us which machine the system protects. For speed sensors we need the type number, thread, length, connector or cable form and the signal type.Browse Jaquet products by category: Vibration.
