Soler & Palau CVTT-15/15 Belt Driven Cabinet Fan 12,800 m3/h
Description
A belt-driven cabinet fan with sound lining and ATEX options
The Soler & Palau CVTT-15/15 is a double-inlet low-pressure centrifugal fan mounted on anti-vibration mounts inside a galvanised steel cabinet lined with melamine acoustic insulation, with a flexible coupling at the discharge. Fan size 15/15 delivers between 1,500 and 12,800 m3/h at 500 to 1100 rpm using motors from 0.75 to 4 kW.
What sets the CVTT apart from other cabinet fans on the site is the printed option for ATEX versions: on request, explosion-proof versions for three-phase models up to 11 kW, marked II 2G Ex d IIB T4 (flameproof), II 2G Ex d IIB+H2 T4 with an Ex d IIC T4 motor, or II 2G Ex e II T3 (increased safety). The datasheet states that the ATEX versions are supplied without melamine insulation.
Features printed in the datasheet
- Galvanised steel sheet, 7 mm flame retardant melamine acoustic insulation (M1); double-skin panels with 17 mm fibreglass insulation (M0) listed as an option.
- Aluminium corners for robustness; fan mounted on a base frame with silent-blocks to reduce vibration transmission.
- Motors IP55, class F; three phase 220-240/380-415 V, 50/60 Hz up to 4 kW; all three-phase motors speed controllable by frequency inverter.
- Motors up to 2.2 kW mounted on the fan casing scroll; above 3 kW on an adjoining support frame.
- Horizontal (H) or vertical (V) discharge; right-hand drive standard, left-hand (TI) on request; circular inlet flanges available.

Sound power spectrum correction values for the 15/15 are 13, 13, 10, 10, 5, 5, 15, 22 and 27 dB(A) from 63 Hz to 16000 Hz, subtracted from the performance value.
Selecting the fan
The catalogue selects the CVTT from its performance curves or the Easyvent software, not from a single point. Single speed four-pole motors in the series table run from 0.18 to 15 kW; two-speed windings listed for the 4/8 poles include 0.75/0.12 kW and 1.1/0.18 kW. For 60 Hz, the catalogue refers to Easyvent for available models.
If the exhaust stream could be flammable, tell the supplier early: the datasheet notes that consumption data for ATEX products may differ from the technical chart, so do not use the standard figures for ATEX motor selection.
What to confirm before ordering
Confirm the duty point, because the 15/15 offers a six-fold range of airflow (1,500 to 12,800 m3/h, derived) across its pulley and motor combinations. State discharge direction (H or V), drive side (right standard, TI left), whether circular inlet flanges are required, and whether the extracted air is clean or potentially explosive.
For a clean-air duty, a standard IP55 class F motor on a base frame is the baseline; for a gas atmosphere request the ATEX variant by its marking and expect no melamine lining. Keep in mind the max ambient shown, -20 to +40 degC, and the 108 kg weight when planning supports.
How it differs from the CVHT cabinet fan
S&P also makes the CVHT with the same cabinet sizes and a smoke-extraction certification. The CVTT is the general-purpose and acoustic version: melamine lining, silent-block base frame and an ATEX option, but the datasheet makes no F400-120 claim for it. Do not use the CVTT for smoke control unless the project documentation says so.
Installation and accessories
- ACOP RECT 15/15 flexible connectors: inlet 602 mm, discharge 405 x 475 mm.
- CVD-15 and CVA-15 wire guards for discharge and inlet; CTI-15 pitched roof cover for outdoor installation (953 x 1,021 mm).
- MF-15/15 G4 filtering box with replacement filter AFR MF-15/15 G4.
- Anti-vibration mounts, supplied on a base frame as standard.
Check the data plate against the supply before commissioning. See the broader HVAC and combustion category.
Installation and selection notes
Choose the motor and pulley for the duty point on the performance curve, and install the cabinet on anti-vibration supports with a flexible connection at the discharge. If the project needs an explosion-proof version, state the gas group and temperature class when requesting the quotation, because the ATEX versions are supplied on request and without melamine insulation. Check belt tension and alignment at commissioning.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the supply voltage and phase, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and any accessories such as controllers, silencers, dampers or flexible connectors, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Airflow, pressure, sound and motor values are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
Soler & Palau is a Spanish ventilation manufacturer, founded in February 1951 in Ripoll, Catalonia, by Eduardo Soler and José Palau in a small workshop of about 230 m². Ripoll is still its production centre, with an aluminium foundry and motor and fan lines, while Parets del Vallès, near Barcelona, has been the group's logistics and operations hub since the 1980s. The S&P group has production, logistics and sales companies in 33 countries.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Soler & Palau fans against exact model codes for HVAC contractors and facility teams in Oman and the GCC.
