Kaeser i.DC 16-1555 Heatless Desiccant Air Dryers

Description

Heatless desiccant dryers from 1.6 to 155.5 m³/min

The Kaeser i.DC 16 to i.DC 1555 heatless regenerative desiccant dryers treat 1.6 to 155.5 m³/min of compressed air at 5 to 16 bar and can lower the pressure dew point to -70 °C, with -40, -20 and +3 °C settings available through a flap on the regeneration air diverter. They suit frost protection for control valves and lines as well as dry air for sensitive processes. The changeover valves are dimensioned for a very high number of pressure cycles, the desiccant is water-resistant, dust-free and of uniform grain size, and Kaeser filters protect the desiccant and downstream piping. The ECO CONTROL 3 controller has a 7-inch touch display and dew point trend recognition for load-dependent switching.

Standard equipment and options

Standard equipment includes a base frame, a prefilter with KE coalescence filter and ECO-DRAIN drain, an afterfilter with KD particulate filter, two desiccant chambers with stainless steel flow diffuser plates and easily accessible filling openings, a chamber pressure gauge and a safety valve for each chamber. Options include a pressure dew point sensor for load-dependent control, a system housing with resistance heating for indoor installation to -20 °C, sound insulation to 85 dB(A) or lower, corrosion protection class C3 or C5 paint to ISO 12944, a silicone-free version to VW test standard PV 3.10.7 and special pressure vessel inspections such as ASME on request.

Sizing and corrections

Correct the flow for working pressure and inlet temperature before choosing a size. The brochure factor for pressure is 0.75 at 5 bar, 1.00 at 7 bar and 1.46 at 16 bar; the temperature factor is 1.00 up to 35 °C and falls to 0.83 at 50 °C. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, quotes the exact model after you give the corrected flow, working pressure, inlet temperature, required dew point and supply voltage. The brochure is attached; related items are in Filtration Systems.

About brand

Kaeser Kompressoren is a German, family-owned manufacturer of compressed air systems. Carl Kaeser Sr. opened a machine workshop in Coburg on 27 June 1919, making car and engine parts. The first piston compressor followed in 1948, and in the 1970s his son Carl Kaeser Jr. developed the Sigma Profile rotor that is still the basis of Kaeser rotary screw compressors.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Kaeser compressors, blowers and air treatment equipment for industrial buyers in Oman and the GCC.

Ordering Kaeser equipment: what we need

Send the free air delivery, working pressure, ambient temperature and the required air quality class, together with the supply voltage and frequency. For replacements give the model and serial number from the nameplate, so the right Kaeser model and options can be confirmed before an offer is issued.

Facts checked against Kaeser's centenary material and trade press, October 2026.
