Fluid-cooled screw compressors for 18.5 to 30 kW duty
The Kaeser ASD series is the entry point of the mid-sized SIGMA PROFILE range: single-stage, fluid-injected rotary screw compressors with a direct 1:1 drive, delivering 0.89 to 6.39 m³/min at 5.5 to 15 bar. The ASD.4 generation pairs the airend with a Super Premium IE4 motor as standard, the industrial-PC-based SIGMA CONTROL 2 controller and Electronic Thermo Management (ETM), a motorised temperature valve that keeps the cooling fluid warm enough to avoid condensate in the package yet as cool as possible for efficiency. Each unit is supplied as a complete, ready-to-run package with sound insulation, vibration-damped mounts and powder-coated panels, suitable for ambient temperatures up to +45 °C.

What the T and SFC versions change
The T versions add a refrigeration dryer inside the same package, with a centrifugal separator and an ECO-DRAIN level-controlled condensate drain upstream, so the unit delivers treated air without a separate dryer room. The brochure states that the dryer switches on only when drying is needed and that the new dryers use about 36 percent less refrigerant than their predecessors. The SFC versions use a synchronous reluctance motor with a Siemens frequency converter in a separate control cabinet; Kaeser reports working pressure kept within +/-0.1 bar and system efficiency class IES2 under EN 50598. Heat recovery with a plate-type heat exchanger is available as an option.

Choose the model from the free air delivery needed at the working pressure, not from motor size alone: the table shows how delivery falls as pressure rises. Fixed-speed units suit a steady base load, while the SFC version suits a varying demand because delivery follows the control range. Before ordering, confirm the working pressure variant, voltage and frequency, the ambient temperature and air quality at the site, whether the integrated dryer is needed, and the controller interface for your master control. Kaeser Kompressoren is a German manufacturer of compressors, blowers and compressed air systems. Carl Kaeser Sr. established the company as a machine workshop in Coburg, Germany, on 27 June 1919, and the first reciprocating compressor followed in 1948.
