Brand: Bernard
Bernard W-Gun Water-Cooled Semi-Automatic MIG Gun 600 A
Description
A 600 A water-cooled MIG gun for heavy fabrication
The Bernard W-Gun is a semi-automatic water-cooled MIG gun with a duty cycle rating of 100 % at 600 A with mixed gas. Bernard lists it for heavy equipment, oil and gas and general manufacturing and fabrication, for MIG (GMAW) welding with wire from 0.035 to 3/32 in (0.8 to 2.4 mm). It is offered in 600 A models with cable lengths between 8 and 25 ft.
Bernard describes a flexible cable assembly with reinforced synthetic rubber hoses that prevent water leakage, increase water flow and reduce gas leakage, a rear housing with water cable strain relief, and a water block with interchangeable power pins and trigger leads so the gun can be connected to wire feeders and machines from major manufacturers.

How the ordering code works
The spec sheet builds the model number from a sequence of choices: amperage (W60), cable length (10, 15, 20 or 25 ft), handle and trigger option (standard, locking, dual pull or dual schedule), neck option (short, medium or long, at 30, 45, 60 or 180 degrees), contact tip series (AccuLock R or Centerfire), wire size and power pin. The sample code W60 15 A I 4 C M reads as a 600 A gun with a 15 ft cable, standard trigger, medium 45 degree neck, AccuLock R tip for 0.035 in wire and a Miller power pin. Always confirm the final code against the current Bernard configurator before ordering.
Choosing neck, trigger and consumables
Neck length and bend decide whether the nozzle reaches the joint without twisting the cable. Short 30 or 45 degree necks suit open joints, while medium and long necks and 60 or 180 degree bends help with restricted access. A dual schedule switch is offered where the operator needs to change between two preset settings. AccuLock R consumables offer expanded contact tip options, including aluminium-specific tips, while Centerfire consumables are the established alternative. The gun needs a water cooler and a hookup kit sized to the cable length.
