Description
The Helukabel JZ-600-Y-CY is a screened PVC control and connection cable rated 600/1000 V, with an inner sheath, a tinned-copper braid of about 85 percent coverage and a black UV-resistant outer sheath. It is an EMC-preferred type: the dense braid keeps interference out of control and signal cores, and the black sheath allows fixed installation outdoors. The OZ-600-Y-CY version omits the protective conductor.

When the 600/1000 V screened type is the right pick
Helukabel positions this cable for machine tools, assembly and conveyor lines, plant construction, heating and air-conditioning and steel mills, in dry, damp and wet rooms and outdoors in fixed installation. The data sheet notes that, with its extended nominal-voltage range and good UV resistance, it is primarily used in Southern Europe, Arabic, Asian and Eastern countries, which is why it turns up in Gulf plant specifications. It is not for direct burial or laying in water; the data sheet states it becomes suitable for direct burial from an outer diameter of 20 mm.
For EMC performance the screen should be terminated at both ends with a large all-round contact area, as Helukabel recommends. The standard JZ-500 has no screen, and the double-screened TOPFLEX-EMV types are intended for frequency-converter motor lines rather than control wiring.
