Lapp ÖLFLEX cables listed here

ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 110 is the general-purpose flexible PVC control cable, used for machine and cabinet wiring in fixed or occasionally flexed runs. ÖLFLEX SERVO FD 796 CP is a screened servo cable with a PUR sheath for the run between servo controller and motor, built for highly dynamic movement in cable chains, where an ordinary control cable would fail early. Other Lapp families that buyers ask for include UNITRONIC data cables, SKINTOP cable glands and EPIC connectors.

Ordering Lapp cable: what we need

Lapp cable is defined by its article number, printed on the drum label and repeated in the catalog. Without it, give the cable type, number of cores and cross-section (for example 4 G 1.5), with or without a protective conductor, the length per drum and the total length. For servo cables add the drive maker’s cable specification.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I read a Lapp cable designation such as 4 G 1.5?
The first figure is the number of cores and the last is the conductor cross-section in square millimeters. The letter G means one core is the green-yellow protective conductor, and an X means there is none. Together with the cable type and the Lapp article number, this identifies the cable fully. The marking is also printed along the sheath.
Can ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 110 be used in a cable chain?
It is a flexible cable for fixed runs and occasional movement, not one designed for continuous travel in a chain. For chain duty Lapp marks its cables FD, as in ÖLFLEX SERVO FD 796 CP. Tell us the travel length, bending radius and number of cycles, and we will check the suitable FD type in the Lapp catalog.
Which approvals do Lapp ÖLFLEX cables carry?
Approvals depend on the cable type. Some ÖLFLEX types follow European standards only, and others are also listed for North American use. If your project needs a specific approval, such as UL or CSA recognition, state it in the inquiry. We will confirm it on the Lapp datasheet for the article number and send that datasheet with the offer.
Is Seven Star LLC a distributor of Lapp?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent industrial supplier based in Muscat, not a distributor or agent of Lapp. We source Lapp cables and cable accessories through commercial channels, check the model or order code against the manufacturer's documentation, and provide the manufacturer's datasheet and the certificates the manufacturer issues with the order on request.
