Brand:

Grandstream GRP2614 4-Line Carrier-Grade IP Phone with Wi-Fi 6

Description

The Grandstream GRP2614 is a 4-line carrier-grade IP phone with dual colour LCD screens (2.8 inch main plus 2.4 inch secondary, both 320×240), 40 virtual multi-purpose keys, integrated dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, dual Gigabit ports with PoE and secure boot with dual firmware images. It is built for zero-touch provisioning at scale through Grandstream’s GDMS cloud platform.

Up to 12 SIP accounts are available on 4 line keys, and 8 MPK keys with dual-colour LEDs add direct presence and speed dial.

A phone designed for mass deployment

Service providers and large enterprises deploy hundreds of handsets, so the GRP series puts the effort into provisioning and security. The datasheet lists secure boot, dual firmware images and encrypted data storage, plus GDMS cloud management for configuring, provisioning, managing and monitoring endpoints centrally. The second 2.4 inch screen carries BLF and virtual keys, so presence stays visible while the main screen is used for calls. Noise-shield technology reduces background noise, which helps in open-plan sites, call centres and workshops.

Features from the datasheet

  • 4 line keys with up to 12 SIP accounts, 8 MPK extension keys with dual-colour LED, 4 XML soft keys
  • Provisioning with GDMS, TR-069 or AES encrypted XML configuration file; firmware via FTP, TFTP, TFTPS, HTTP, HTTPS
  • Integrated dual-band (2.4 and 5 GHz) Wi-Fi 6 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, hardware version 5.0 and above
  • HD handset and speakerphone with wideband audio and noise-shield technology
  • Integrated Bluetooth; dual switched 10/100/1000 Mbps ports with PoE
  • Secure boot, dual firmware images, encrypted data storage; 256-bit AES configuration file, TLS, SRTP, 802.1x

Choosing the GRP2614 versus its neighbours

Within the GRP series, the model number suffix reflects line and key count; the GRP2614 is the 4-line model with dual screens, and there is no extension-module port (the datasheet says Extension Module: No). If you need many BLF keys on one desk use a GXP2170; if you want a wireless desk phone that can reach Wi-Fi 6 use this one, noting the Wi-Fi 6 radio applies to hardware version 5.0 and above, so confirm the hardware revision when ordering.

Installation and provisioning notes

Power from a PoE switch or the supplied 12 V adapter, choose a stand angle or wall mount (sold separately), and let it pull its configuration from GDMS or a DHCP-option provisioning server. The secure boot and dual firmware images mean a failed upgrade falls back to the previous image, which matters for remote sites. Segment voice on its own VLAN and mark DSCP via the QoS settings listed above.

GCC applications

Typical uses are hotel room and back-office phones, bank and government front-office desks, service-provider managed handsets and multi-site enterprises that want central control. In compounds without cabling, the Wi-Fi 6 radio gives an alternative to wired runs, though a wired PoE connection is the better choice for voice quality.

Selection and installation notes

An IP phone is selected from the number of lines and accounts, the display and keys needed, the network (PoE or power adapter, Gigabit or Wi-Fi) and the platform it connects to. Check that the PBX or the cloud service supports SIP and the codecs required, plan the VLAN and PoE budget on the switch, and use provisioning to configure many phones consistently. Keep the firmware current.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
