The 131B4246 is an FC-102P11KT4P21H1XG drive, 11 kW (15 HP) on 380 to 480 V mains. The enclosure code P21 means IP21 / Type 1 with a backplate: the drive is built into a cabinet or mounted in a clean, dry electrical room. The B1 frame is 494 mm high, 243 mm wide and 261 mm deep, and weighs about 22 kg.

The RFI filter is class H1 (A1/B, C1 category), a low-emission class that matters in commercial buildings, hospitals and schools where the drive shares a supply with sensitive equipment. The store gives 16.6 kVA, 278 W loss and 24 A continuous output at normal overload.

Cabinet heat and cable planning

A loss of 278 W inside a panel must be removed by ventilation or an air conditioner. As a rule of thumb the heat has to be added to that of the contactors, filters and power supplies, and the cabinet temperature must remain within the drive’s ambient limit. The manufacturer guide explains the derating at higher temperature and altitude, which is important for rooftop plant in Oman.

The B1 frame is the first one for which many sites change from single motor cables to heavier conductors. Check the terminal capacity in the guide against the cable you plan to use, and size input fuses according to the national rules and the guide, not by the motor kW alone.

Decoding the options

In FC-102P11KT4P21H1XGXXXXSXXXXAXBXCXXXXDX the G is the graphical control panel, and the string of X positions means no brake chopper, no coated boards, no mains option, standard cable entries and no option cards. H1 selects the class A1/B RFI filter. P21 is the IP21 backplate version, which differs from E21 or E55 housings that carry other code numbers.

If you need a drive for a wet or dusty location, the IP55 version of the same power has a different code, so state the enclosure when you ask for a quotation.

Choosing Danfoss products

For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit. For drives, the VLT family is split by application: FC 51 Micro Drive for small machines, FC 102 HVAC Drive for fans and pumps in buildings, FC 202 AQUA Drive for water, and FC 302 AutomationDrive for demanding industrial duty.
