Danfoss FC-051PK75S2E20H3XXCXXXSXXX (132F0003) FC 51 0.75 kW
Description
A 0.75 kW single-phase VLT Micro Drive for 230 V supplies
The FC-051PK75S2E20H3XXCXXXSXXX is the Danfoss VLT Micro Drive FC 51 that Danfoss lists under order number 132F0003. It is the single-phase variant of the 0.75 kW (1 hp) size: it takes a 1 x 200-240 V supply and drives a three-phase motor, which makes it the practical choice for small pumps, fans and machines installed where only a single-phase 230 V feeder is available. The converter is built in the compact M1 frame, carries the integrated class A1/B (category C1) RFI filter and has a coated circuit board, and it ships without a brake chopper and without a local control panel.
Because the supply is single-phase, the input current is much higher than the output current. At rated load the drive delivers 4.2 A continuous to the motor but draws up to 11.6 A from the mains, so the feeder cable, fuse and any upstream breaker must be selected from the input figure, not from the motor nameplate. This is the most common sizing mistake with single-phase drives and is worth checking before you place an order.

Installation and selection notes
Mount the M1 drive vertically; side-by-side mounting is allowed for IP20 units with 100 mm free space above and below. The design guide limits the motor cable to 15 m screened or 50 m unscreened and gives a maximum ambient of 40 °C at full output, with 0 °C as the minimum for full performance and altitude derating above 1000 m. The control card has five programmable digital inputs, two analog inputs, one 0/4-20 mA analog output, one relay output and an RS-485 port for the FC protocol and Modbus RTU. Danfoss lists a type 1 kit (132B0103) and an IP21 kit (132B0108) for this frame, a DIN rail kit (132B0111) and a line filter MCC 107 (130B2533) as accessories for 132F0003.
A drive supplied without a local control panel needs an LCP ordered separately; the numeric panel 132B0100 is the usual choice for commissioning. Danfoss’s own store page for this code carries the notes “Last time buy June 30, 2026” and “Last time delivery September 30, 2026” and flags that an upgrade is available. Treat it as a spare and replacement-parts item and have us confirm stock and the current replacement before you commit.
Key features of the FC 51 0.75 kW single-phase drive
- Runs a standard three-phase induction motor from a single-phase 230 V supply, removing the need for a three-phase feeder at small installations.
- Integrated RFI filter for category C1, suitable for installations close to residential or commercial supplies when cable length limits are respected.
- Coated circuit board to class 3C3, offering better resistance to corrosive gases than an uncoated board.
- Built-in Modbus RTU and FC protocol over RS-485 for connection to a PLC or building management system.
- Typical efficiency of 96.0 %, with losses of about 44 W at rated load.
- Compact M1 frame of only 70 mm width for small panels.
Practical uses
Single-phase drives of this size typically power booster pumps in villas and small buildings, extraction fans, small conveyors, mixers and packaging machines in workshops. Running the motor from a drive also provides soft starting, which lowers the inrush on a weak single-phase line, and speed control, which can cut the energy consumption of fans and centrifugal pumps when full flow is not needed. The built-in PI controller of the VLT Micro Drive can hold a pressure or temperature set point from a transmitter connected to an analog input.
Commissioning checklist
- Confirm that the motor is wired for the drive output: a 230 V three-phase connection, usually delta on a 230/400 V motor.
- Fit the LCP and enter the motor nameplate data before the first start.
- Run automatic motor adaptation (AMA) where the application benefits from accurate motor data.
- Set ramp times, minimum and maximum frequency, and the reference source.
- Check the motor current and drive temperature under real load.
Replacement planning
Given the last-time-buy dates Danfoss publishes for this code, plants that depend on it should plan spares now. When choosing a successor, compare frame dimensions, control terminal layout, communication protocol and supply type, and transfer the parameter settings where possible. Keeping a record of the current settings makes any future changeover much quicker.
Conditions in Oman and the GCC
The 40 °C full-output ambient limit in the design guide is easily exceeded in outdoor pump rooms and rooftop plant during summer. Place the drive in a shaded, ventilated enclosure, or allow for derating if internal temperatures will rise above that figure. The IP20 chassis needs protection from dust and humidity; the coated PCB helps in coastal air but does not replace a proper enclosure. Where a single-phase supply is fed by a long cable or a small generator, verify the voltage under load stays within the ±10 % tolerance.

About brand
From its headquarters in Nordborg, Denmark, where it was founded in 1933, Danfoss makes the drives, valves and sensors found in pump rooms, chiller plants and cold stores. Its blue VLT frequency converters are probably the most familiar of them.
Seven Star LLC lists Danfoss VLT drives, pressure transmitters, refrigeration valves and HVAC control valves, and supplies them to contractors and plant owners in Oman against the exact code number on the label.
Danfoss product families on this page
Among the VLT drives listed, three are each aimed at a different duty: the VLT HVAC Drive FC 102 for fans and building services, the VLT AQUA Drive FC 202 for water and wastewater pumping, and the VLT AutomationDrive FC 302 for general industrial machinery. The LCP 12 control panel with potentiometer (code number 132B0101) is also listed; Danfoss specifies it for the VLT Micro Drive FC 51. In pressure measurement there are the MBS 3000 general purpose transmitter and the MBS 5100. Valves include the AB-QM pressure independent control valve in DN 15 to DN 250, the EVR 25 servo-operated solenoid valve and the ICV pilot-operated valve for industrial refrigeration.
Where Danfoss equipment is used
District cooling and chilled water plants, air handling units, booster and irrigation pump stations, desalination and wastewater works, ammonia and CO2 refrigeration plants, food storage and marine engine rooms are the usual places. Demand in the GCC is driven largely by cooling and water.
Ordering Danfoss parts: what we need
Every Danfoss product has a code number, and drives also carry a long type code string on the label. Send both. For a drive we need the motor power and current, the mains voltage, enclosure rating, any fieldbus or option card and the filter class. For an MBS transmitter give the pressure span, output signal, pressure connection and electrical connection. For valves give the size, connection type, coil voltage where relevant and the refrigerant or medium.
