Overview
The CEMB TR-27 is an integrated vibration transmitter designed for reliable monitoring of absolute bearing vibration on any rotating machine. Using two-wire 4-20mA current loop technology, it connects directly to PLC and DCS systems without additional signal conditioning, minimising wiring complexity compared to traditional vibration monitoring installations.
Housed in an AISI 316L stainless steel body with an integral cable and IP68 ingress protection, the TR-27 is engineered for the harshest environments. The wide operating range allows installation on fans, compressors, centrifuges, turbines, pumps, and other rotating equipment where continuous vibration surveillance is required.
Engineering & Design
The transmitter measures absolute vibration of the machine support and converts the signal to a 4-20mA current proportional to vibration velocity or acceleration, depending on the selected configuration. The two-wire loop is powered from the same pair used for the signal, simplifying wiring to a single twisted pair back to the control system.
Available in a standard version with PVC shielded cable and nickel-plated brass cable gland, or a special version for aggressive environments with ETFE shielded armoured cable and AISI 316L stainless steel cable gland, the TR-27 needs no set-up or maintenance after installation. The frequency response covers 10Hz to 1kHz with ±5% linearity, and the mounting thread is machined directly on the stainless body.

Installation & Configuration
The TR-27 is supplied in pre-configured versions selected at the time of order, so no field programming is required. The integral cable is available in standard PVC shielded form or, for aggressive environments, as ETFE shielded armoured cable with a stainless steel gland, and the transmitter can be supplied with the mounting stud or welded pad option to suit the machine.
Because the loop is two-wire, cable lengths and installation cost are minimised, and the -60°C to +120°C temperature rating covers nearly every industrial application.
