Vibro-Meter measurement chains

A Vibro-Meter measurement is built as a chain: a sensor, its cable, a signal conditioner and a monitoring module. The IQS900 listed here is a signal conditioner for the brand’s TQ proximity sensors, which measure shaft vibration and position without contact. The second listed item, part number 254-772-000-225, is a level detector and digital display module. Vibro-Meter parts are identified by these long numeric ordering numbers.

Ordering Vibro-Meter parts: what we need

Send the type designation and the full ordering number, both printed on the label, for example IQS900 with its number string. For a proximity chain, give the sensor type, total system cable length and target material, because the conditioner is matched to them. State the hazardous-area approval if the original has an Ex version. GCC operators should also name the turbine or compressor model.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I identify a Vibro-Meter part correctly?
Each item carries a type name, such as IQS900, and a long ordering number in the form 000-000-000-000 that defines the exact version. The type name alone is not enough, as one type exists in several versions. Send both from the label, or a clear photo of it.
Why does a Vibro-Meter signal conditioner have to match the sensor and cable?
A proximity measurement chain is calibrated as a set: sensor, extension cable and conditioner are specified for a total system length and a sensitivity. Replacing one element with a different version changes the output. Give us the part numbers of all three so that we can check compatibility in the manufacturer's documentation.
My Vibro-Meter module is an older type. Can it still be sourced?
Send the type and ordering number. We check the current status in the manufacturer's documentation. If the item is obsolete, we propose the manufacturer's successor where one is defined; the manufacturer's catalog, for example, names the IQS900 as the replacement for the earlier IQS45x signal conditioners. We also tell you what else in the chain or rack has to be compatible.
Who makes Vibro-Meter sensors today?
Vibro-Meter products are made in Fribourg, Switzerland, by the former Meggitt business that is now part of Parker Meggitt. The VM600 system and CA/CE sensors remain in production.
Is Seven Star LLC a distributor of Vibro-Meter?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent industrial supplier based in Muscat. We source Vibro-Meter vibration monitoring parts through commercial channels, check the model or order code against the manufacturer's documentation before quoting, and provide the manufacturer's datasheet and the certificates the manufacturer issues with the order on request.
