Grandstream GAC2570 Android Enterprise Conference Phone

The Grandstream GAC2570 is an Android 10 enterprise conference phone for meeting rooms: a 7 inch 1280×800 IPS touch screen, 12 omnidirectional microphones (Multichannel Microphone Array Design), a 10 W high-fidelity speaker, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, PoE+ and a built-in 3300 mAh rechargeable battery for up to four hours of talktime. It supports 12-party conferences and has a 5 m pick-up range.

Two GMD1208 wireless desktop microphones can be cascaded to cover a larger table, up to 20 m away, and the datasheet lists Zoom certification.

A wireless conference phone for boardrooms and huddle rooms

Most meeting rooms lose time to cables and dial-in procedures. The GAC2570 can run on battery or PoE+, sits on the table without a power lead, and connects over Wi-Fi 6, so the unit can be moved to another room mid-call without interrupting the conference, which the datasheet highlights. The Android 10 interface hosts SIP calling, and the datasheet also lists an HDMI IN port and a dedicated media port for collaboration. Sizing the room

With a 5 m pickup radius the GAC2570 on its own suits a table of about 12 seats or a medium boardroom. For long tables, add one or two GMD1208 microphones; the datasheet states up to 20 m for the wireless link. The 12-party conference limit includes the host, so plan larger events through a conferencing server or UCM.

Setup notes

Power with the PoE injector or a PoE+ switch for permanent installs and use the battery for portable meetings. Connect to Wi-Fi 6 or Ethernet, register SIP accounts, and configure Bluetooth pairing for mobile calls. For content sharing, connect a laptop to HDMI IN. Set the room language and time zone, and keep firmware current through TFTP, HTTP or HTTPS or local upload.

Boardrooms in ministries, oil and gas offices, banks, hospitals, universities and project site cabins commonly rely on a table conference phone for calls and remote meetings. The 0 to 40 C operating range means it belongs in air-conditioned rooms.

Selection and installation notes

A phone or voice device is selected from the number of lines and accounts, the display and keys needed, the network (PoE or power adapter, Gigabit or Wi-Fi) and the platform it connects to. Check that the PBX or the cloud service supports SIP and the codecs required, plan the VLAN and the PoE budget on the switch, and use provisioning to configure many devices consistently. Keep the firmware current and record the account settings for each unit.

For a conference phone, place it in the centre of the table and check the room acoustics, because hard surfaces cause echo.
