Handling and cooling of a 120 kg drive
A drive of this class is usually placed on the floor of an electrical room next to the motor control centre. Provide a flat base, anchor the unit, and keep the free space on the top and sides specified in the operating guide. The heat loss is several kilowatts, so the room needs ventilation or air conditioning.
Cable entry is by a metric conduit plate (+QGLM), which allows armoured glands or conduit. Incoming and outgoing cables are heavy at 261 A; check the terminal capacity and bending radius before the cable is ordered.
Safety and communication options
As on the 12 A FLOW unit the E slot carries the BJ board with Safe Torque Off and an ATEX thermistor input, and the B slot holds a three-relay board. Standard protocols are Modbus, N2 and BACnet. There is no brake chopper, which is typical for pump duty.

Choosing Danfoss products
For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit.
