Danfoss 131F3990 is an FC-202P22KT4E21H1XGC drive. The power is 22 kW (30 HP) on 380 to 480 V, the housing IP21 / Type 1 and the frame B2. The distinguishing letter is the C in the coating position: the printed circuit boards are conformally coated, which is the Danfoss answer for air that contains hydrogen sulphide or other aggressive gases, as found in sewage lift stations and treatment works.

Why the coating matters

Uncoated electronics corrode in sulphide-rich air, and the failure can appear after months as intermittent faults or a dead control card. The coating slows that process, but it is not a replacement for a clean, ventilated electrical room with positive air pressure or filtration. The guide explains the environmental classes that apply to the coated variants.

For the pump itself, the AQUA guide lists a cascade controller, sleep mode, broken-belt detection and an energy log. Those features reduce operating hours and make the data from a drive useful to the plant manager.

Heat, space and the overload choice

The B2 frame measures 664 x 243 x 261 mm (H x W x D) and weighs 28.39 kg; the IP21 housing is for indoor installation, so a rain shield or a building is needed. The drive loses 525 W at normal overload, which must be removed from the room.

With 44 A at normal overload and 37.5 A at high overload, a 22 kW motor on a centrifugal pump will normally use the normal-overload setting. Check the actual motor current in the nameplate before deciding.

Request the environmental data of the room, such as measured hydrogen sulphide level or the classification of the atmosphere, when you ask for a quotation. Choosing Danfoss products

For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit. For drives, the VLT family is split by application: FC 51 Micro Drive for small machines, FC 102 HVAC Drive for fans and pumps in buildings, FC 202 AQUA Drive for water, and FC 302 AutomationDrive for demanding industrial duty.
