Brand: AMETEK
AMETEK Drexelbrook Universal V Pro and Lite RF Admittance Level Transmitters
Description
The AMETEK Drexelbrook Universal V Series is a fifth-generation RF admittance and capacitance continuous level system in two models, Pro and Lite. It is a 2-wire, 4 to 20 mA, HART 7 compatible loop transmitter for liquids, slurries, interface and granular materials.
Seven Star LLC supplies the Universal V from Muscat with the manufacturer data sheet available before quotation.
Pro and Lite models
The Pro model integrates RF admittance with Cote-Shield technology, which ignores coating build-up on the probe, and offers a measurement span of 1 inch to 800 feet. It is suited to conductive and insulating media and to heavy or light coating. The Lite model is the entry-level RF capacitance system without Cote-Shield, intended for non-coating conductive liquids and insulating-coating applications, with a typical range up to 20 feet.
The system is backward compatible with Universal III, Universal Lite, Universal II, RCT and Universal IV products, and a retrofit kit allows the electronics housing to be replaced while the probe stays in the tank. Over 125 probe types are offered.
- Integral or remote installation
- Standard push-button LCD display and keypad
- Immune to vapor, dust, foam and tank obstructions
- Built-in isolation and surge protection

Applications and what to confirm before ordering
Typical uses in the data sheet include desalter and electrostatic separator interface measurement in refining, molten sulfur, digesters and equalization tanks in water treatment, and de-ionized water in pharmaceutical and biotech plants. For desalters, the sheet lists a high-temperature, remote-only probe.
Confirm the model (Pro or Lite), probe type and wetted material, process connection, temperature and pressure at the nozzle, integral or remote housing, and the hazardous-area approval required. Probe maximum ratings differ by probe model.
Examples from the probe tables include model 700-0005-018, a flexible cable for coating liquids, slurries and interface service, 700-0002-224 for electrostatic desalters (high temperature, remote only), and 700-0005-019, a heavy-duty cable for coal, ores and other abrasive material. Probe temperature and pressure limits differ by model, so quote the process conditions at the nozzle.
Documents and quotation
To request a quotation for the Universal V transmitter, send Seven Star LLC the full model or order code, quantity, and any nameplate data from an existing unit that is being replaced or matched. Our Muscat team checks the request against the manufacturer document, which can be downloaded from this page, and replies with a formal quotation. Prices, stock and lead times are confirmed per inquiry.

About brand
AMETEK is the American maker of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices, headquartered in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1930 as American Machine and Metals. In process industries it is known through brands such as Western Research (sulfur recovery and H2S analysers), Thermox (oxygen analysers), Land (pyrometers), Drexelbrook (RF level) and Chandler Engineering.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list AMETEK process analysers, pyrometers, portable testers and spare parts, and supply them to gas plants, refineries and power stations in Oman and the GCC.
AMETEK company profile
| Established | 1930, USA, as American Machine and Metals; later renamed AMETEK |
|---|---|
| Headquarters | Berwyn, Pennsylvania |
| Structure | Two groups: Electronic Instruments (EIG) and Electromechanical (EMG) |
| Process brands | Western Research, Thermox, Land, Drexelbrook, Chandler Engineering, Ranarex |
Milestones
- 1930: American Machine and Metals is formed in March and listed on the New York Stock Exchange as AME.
- Early 1960s: The company is renamed AMETEK.
- 2021: AMETEK acquires Magnetrol.
AMETEK products we list
| Product | Type | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 888, 900, 930 | Western Research sulfur recovery analysers | Tail gas, air demand and H2S in sulfur pits on Claus units |
| 931, 933, 9900RM/WM | UV gas analysers | H2S in natural gas and multi-component process streams |
| 5000, 3050-OLV, 5100HD, 5100P | Moisture analysers | Water content in natural gas and process gases; the 5100 models use TDLAS |
| 241CE II, Chanscope II / Model 13 | Dew point analysers and testers | Hydrocarbon and water dew point of natural gas |
| WDG 1200/1210, WDG-V, TM2000 | Thermox oxygen analysers | Combustion control on heaters and boilers, and trace oxygen |
| SPOT+, Cyclops L | Land pyrometers | Non-contact temperature of furnaces, kilns, tubes and hot metal |
| 120HD, Ranarex, Drexelbrook RCT-1210 | Portable analysers and level | Hydrogen purity in generators, gas specific gravity, RF level measurement |
Most of these analysers work on light absorption. UV analysers such as the 933 and 9900 measure H2S and SO2 by their absorption bands, and tail gas analysers use this to keep the H2S to SO2 ratio near 2:1 for the best Claus conversion. TDLAS moisture analysers use a tuned laser on a single water line, so they respond fast and do not suffer from the glycol and methanol contamination that affects sensor-based analysers.
Where AMETEK instruments are used
In Oman and the GCC, AMETEK analysers run on gas processing and sulfur recovery units, gas pipelines and custody points, refinery heaters and boilers, power station generators and steel and cement furnaces.
Ordering AMETEK products: what we need
