A single-phase safety vacuum for hazardous dust in zone 22

The Kärcher NT 75/1 Me Ec H Z22 is a safety vacuum cleaner of dust class H, certified according to the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU for use in potentially explosive areas designated zone 22. The testing institute named in the sheet is IBExU.

It combines a 75 litre stainless steel container and a complete antistatic system with a brushless EC motor rated for 5000 hours and approved for combustible dusts in zone 22. Dust class H is the class for hazardous dusts, so the machine suits areas where hazardous or combustible fine dust has to be controlled, and it runs on an ordinary single-phase 220 to 240 V supply.

Scope of supply and filter system

The delivery includes a safety filter bag, a 4 m electrically conductive suction hose, two 550 mm stainless steel suction tubes, an electrically conductive bend, a 360 mm wet and dry floor nozzle, a crevice nozzle, a Safety/HEPA flat pleated filter made from fibreglass and a push handle. The container has stop swivel castors and a continuous antistatic system.

The Safety/HEPA flat pleated filter is listed by Kärcher with a red label, and an H14 HEPA flat pleated filter and 5-piece safety filter bags for dust-free emptying are available as options. Zone 22 certified accessories are listed below with order numbers.

Safety vacuum or standard wet and dry model

A safety vacuum differs from an ordinary wet and dry cleaner by its dust class, filter and antistatic design. When the dust is neither hazardous nor combustible, a standard NT or Tact² model is more economical. The table compares printed values for the machines in this group.
