Kärcher HD 6/13 C Plus Compact High-Pressure Cleaner

Single-phase 230 V cleaning for workshops and light industrial use

The Kärcher HD 6/13 C Plus is the compact-class cold water high-pressure cleaner of this selection, and the only cold water unit on these pages that runs from a single-phase 230 V, 50 Hz supply. That makes it the practical choice for workshops, stores, camp sites and small plants where a three-phase outlet is not at hand.

Kärcher highlights vertical and horizontal operation, an accessory storage compartment, a brass cylinder head and automatic pressure relief. At 28.8 kg with accessories it is light enough to carry by the integrated front handle, and the push handle retracts at the push of a button.

Equipment and handling

The delivery comprises an EASY!Force gun, a 10 m high-pressure hose specified as DN 6 and 200 bar, an 840 mm lance and a Dirt blaster rotary nozzle. A detergent function by suction and the pressure cut-off are listed as equipment. EASY!Lock quick-release couplings are described by Kärcher as durable and five times faster than screws.

The spray unit has separate park and transport positions, and in horizontal operation the wheels are off the floor for stability. Options listed in the sheet include a LED nozzle light, flexible lances, a 1050 mm lance and further hoses.

When the compact class is enough

The HD 6/13 C Plus suits intermittent cleaning of tools, vehicles, equipment housings, floors and walls. For all-day three-phase duty or heavier soiling, the mobile M Plus or the upright super-class machines are the next steps.

Water supply and detergent use

The machine takes water through a 3/4 inch inlet at a maximum inlet temperature of 60 °C. The supply should deliver at least the 590 l/h the pump draws, otherwise the pump can run short of water. Where site water carries sand or scale, a fine water filter on the inlet protects the pump valves; this is general good practice for any piston pump cleaner. Detergent is drawn in by suction on the low-pressure side, so use detergents intended for high-pressure cleaners and rinse the system with clean water after use.

Choosing nozzles and lances

Operation and maintenance

• Connect and open the water supply before switching on, and bleed air from the system so the pump does not run dry.
• Check the high-pressure hose and couplings for damage before each use, and never use a damaged hose.
• Check the pump oil level according to the operating manual and change it at the stated intervals.
• Use an extension cable of adequate cross-section if the 5 m power cable is not long enough, and keep connections dry.
• Drain the machine after use and store it out of direct sun.

Use in Oman and GCC conditions

Fine dust and sand settle quickly on vehicles, equipment housings, solar panels and floors across the region, and a compact unit that plugs into a normal socket is convenient for workshops, villas, camp sites and small plants. In hot weather, store the machine and hoses in the shade, because hoses and seals age faster under strong UV and heat. If the feed comes from a rooftop tank in summer, check that the water does not exceed the 60 °C inlet limit.
