Description
The handle that carries every X21 attachment
The GCE X21 Original 0767946 is the round-type shank of the X21 combined welding and cutting system. It carries the oxygen and fuel gas valves, colour-marked blue and red, and accepts all X21 welding, cutting, heating, flame-straightening and flame-cleaning attachments. This version is fitted with BV12 connections for 6.3 mm hose.
X21 is a pressure torch (type II) to EN ISO 5172, for acetylene and propane.

Choosing a shank
GCE offers the X21 handle in round and flat (oval) forms; the choice is mainly one of grip preference. The round 0767946 with BV12 fittings suits hose assemblies with BV12 nuts, while 0764658 has plain 6.3 mm hose nipples. One shank can serve several attachments, so a workshop can keep a single handle per operator and change heads for welding, cutting or heating. When replacing a shank, check the thread hand: the fuel connection is left-hand.
Fit flashback arrestors appropriate to the gases and follow the GCE instructions when connecting hoses and leak testing.
