Operating Principle

The Nivelco EasyTREK operates on the time-of-flight ultrasonic principle: the integrated transducer emits a short burst of ultrasonic pulses from above the liquid surface, and internal electronics precisely time the interval until the reflected echo returns. Because sound velocity in air is well characterized and temperature-compensated within the instrument, this time interval converts directly into an accurate distance-to-surface measurement, from which the transmitter derives level, volume, or flow depending on configuration.
