Jaquet FTFU3024-E01 Motherboard – Type 377Z-03981 (FT3000)

Description

Overview

The Jaquet FTFU3024-E01 (also written FTFU 3024-E01, article number 377Z-03981) is the motherboard of the Jaquet FT 3000 multi-channel overspeed protection and monitoring system. The FT 3000 is built from modules installed in a 19″ rack, and one FTFU 3024 motherboard is used per measurement channel (sensor). It performs speed measurement and watchdog functions and can be used in single-channel or voting structures.

A measurement channel may consist of the FTFU 3024 motherboard alone or combined with an FTV 3090 relay card and an FTW 3013 analogue output card. The FT 3000 system is designed for IEC 61508 SIL 3 and API 670 applications and can monitor up to three shafts in one rack. Jaquet has declared the FT 3000 series obsolete, so the board is now mainly supplied as a spare for existing installations.

Key Features

  • One motherboard per channel for speed measurement and watchdog functions
  • 3 hardware speed limit monitors plus one acceleration limit comparator
  • 3 single change-over relays for status or limits
  • 3 test generators for on-line self-testing
  • Maximum speed memory and direction sensing
  • Isolated sensor input with sensor supply and sensor monitoring

Jaquet FTFU 3024-E01 Ordering Code and Options

FTFU 3024 is the monitoring module of the FT 3000 rack, and the suffix identifies the sensor input card that is plugged onto it. The Jaquet operating instructions list four versions: FTFU 3024-E01 (article 377Z-03981), -E02 (377Z-03982), -E03 (377Z-03983) and -E04 (377Z-05855). A replacement board must carry the same suffix as the one removed, because the input cards differ electrically.

The E01 card is the general-purpose input. It is intended for electromagnetic, ferrostat and HF sensors, proximity switches and sensors with line amplifiers, accepts 50 mV to 80 V rms, and has jumper-selectable pull-up or pull-down resistance for two-wire sensors. On the E01 front panel, trimmer T sets the trigger level and trimmers L and H set the lower and upper sensor-current limits used for sensor monitoring.

Jaquet FTFU 3024-E01 Installation and Wiring Notes

Parameters are not set on the board itself. Measuring range, limits and relay assignments are written from a PC through the RS 232 port of the FTK 3072 communications module and are stored in EEPROM so they survive a power loss. Three password levels control what may be changed, and the passwords must be identical on all modules in one installation.

Unless configured otherwise, relay K1 on the motherboard reports power-supply status and K2 reports sensor monitoring. The unit is protection class 1 and needs an earth connection. The FT 3000 system has been discontinued by the manufacturer, so spare boards such as this one are used to keep existing installations in service.

Why Seven Star LLC

Seven Star LLC supplies spare modules for legacy machinery protection systems across Oman and the GCC. Because the FT 3000 is obsolete, we check the part number, article number and rack nameplate data before quoting to confirm the replacement board matches your installed system.

About brand

Jaquet is a Swiss name in speed measurement for rotating machinery, with origins going back to 1889. Its sensors and tachometer systems are found on turbines, engines and compressors. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Jaquet FT3000 system modules for maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC who need a like-for-like electronic module for a speed measurement rack already in service.

Jaquet FT3000 modules on our site

Two parts are listed at present, both belonging to the FT3000, a rack-mounted overspeed protection and speed measurement system built from plug-in cards. The FTW3013 analog module, type number 377Z-03984, is an analog output card. The FTFU3024-E01, type number 377Z-03981, is the frequency relay motherboard on which the system is based; other FTFU3024 variants carry different type numbers. A specialist distributor lists the FT3000 as discontinued, so the supply of each card has to be checked case by case.

Ordering Jaquet spare parts: what we need

Send the module designation and the full 377Z type number from the label, with any revision or serial number printed beside it. Add a photo of the label and of the rack position, and tell us which machine the system protects. For speed sensors we need the type number, thread, length, connector or cable form and the signal type.
