The Xylem Lowara e-XC is a configurable, single-stage, horizontal split-case pump with a double-suction impeller. Selection and installation notes

A split-case pump is chosen for large flows at moderate head with good efficiency and easy maintenance: the casing top half can be lifted without disturbing the piping. For seawater, produced water or brackish water select duplex or super duplex materials, and for fluids with solvents or oil check the elastomers and the mechanical seal configuration (MR1, MR2, MR5 or MR7) against the liquid. Pumps of this size are normally supplied as a package with motor and baseplate, so confirm the motor frame, coupling, base, and seal flush plan at enquiry. How the Lowara e-XC works

Liquid enters the double-suction impeller from both sides at once. The impeller adds energy to the liquid and the split casing guides it to the discharge. Feeding both sides of the impeller balances the axial forces on the shaft.
