Haws 7500 Portable Gravity Fed Eyewash, 16 Gallon
Description
7500 is a Haws portable gravity-fed eyewash with a 16 gallon (60.6 L) green polyethylene tank that delivers 0.4 gpm (1.5 L) for the 15 minutes of flushing time required of eyewash equipment. It needs no plumbing or power, which makes it the practical answer for remote and low-traffic locations.
Self-contained flushing where there is no water main
Pulling the yellow arm downward opens flow to two ABS plastic eyewash heads. The tank is high-density polyethylene that Haws states is FDA approved, with a wide-fill opening and threaded cap for inspection, cleaning and filling, plus top and side handles for relocation. A J-shaped stainless steel wall bracket is included. Product-page measurements are 22-1/2 in. high, 21-1/2 in. wide and 19-1/2 in. deep (57.2 x 54.6 x 49.5 cm).
Additive is not included. Haws offers the 9082 bacteriostatic preservative separately and the manual explains two procedures to limit bacterial growth in the stored water, either with the preservative or by regular drain, flush and refill.

Selection and ordering guide
Select the 7500 when a continuous 15 minute supply is needed and no pressurised water exists. If a plumbed supply is available, a bowl-type unit gives unlimited flushing time; the 7500 is limited to the tank content, so it is meant to supplement first aid.
The warm-climate limit matters: the manual says the unit must not see internal or ambient temperatures above 38 C (100 F) and warns about direct sunlight. In Gulf summers this usually means indoor or shaded mounting, with the 9125 thermal jacket considered for hot rooms.
Installation and operation notes
Mount level front to back and left to right. A filled unit is heavy at about 140 pounds, so the three 1/4 in. wall anchors or the shelf must carry that weight plus a worker leaning on it. Fill to the fill line with clean water, add the preservative as directed and fit the supplied drain hose if wanted.
Maintenance: check the liquid level daily, weekly or monthly depending on evaporation, keep an inspection tag and record inspection dates and treatments. Operation steps are to lead the patient to the unit, pull the arm firmly, hold the eyelids open and flush for 15 minutes, then seek medical attention.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
Typical uses are remote pumping stations, laydown yards, vehicles-and-fleet workshops, construction camps, temporary work fronts and storage areas where the nearest tap is too far for the 10 second travel recommendation. The datasheet says the 7500 is ideal for remote and low-traffic areas where protective measures are still needed.
Because stored water ages, plan for scheduled refill and inspection in every location.
