Brand:

Donaldson AG1423401 Sterile Air Manifold DN25

Description

A ready-to-install four-stage sterile air manifold with SIP leg, 320 m3/h

The Donaldson Sterile Air Manifold AG1423401 is the DN25 size of a ready-to-install air filtration solution with housings, condensate traps, isolation and throttling valves, upstream and downstream pressure gauges, a sanitary check valve and a steam inlet leg for sterilization-in-place of the manifold. It protects products and processes from particulate, organic or microbial contamination, and is paired with the Donaldson Steam Manifold for integrated steam sterilization.

The recommended four-stage element configuration is a DF-V particulate/coalescence filter, a DF-S particulate/coalescence filter, a DF-A oil vapour filter and a LifeTec P-SRF C final filter. The DN25 manifold takes 0320 elements in stages 1 to 3 and a 05/30 element in stage 4.

Design and quality

The sheet lists components from Donaldson housings, a steam trap, Ashcroft manometers and ball valves for isolation and throttling. A pneumatic leak test per EN 13480-5 is part of quality testing, and all components downstream of the final filter use materials meeting EC 1935/2004 and the FDA food contact rules in Title 21. Documentation is available on request.

Applications are the filtration and purification of compressed air and technical gases, static or dynamic tank venting, aseptic storage or packaging, product push and cooling or conveying air. Bottled water, dairy, breweries and wineries are the listed industries. Confirm element selection and the sterilization method with the process engineer before ordering.

The manifold is washdown compatible and an isolation valve lets the user sterilize either the sterile air filter or any downstream equipment. A height adjustable stand with 40 mm adjustment steps and levelling feet carries the air manifold and the steam manifold together, which reduces the footprint. The SIP connection includes a steam trap with an EN 1092-1 flange on the steam side and a weld connection on the air side. A field service team is available for troubleshooting, repairs and annual maintenance.

About brand

Donaldson is the American filtration company founded in Minnesota in 1915. It started when Frank Donaldson Sr. built an air cleaner for a tractor engine that kept failing in dusty fields. It is now headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota, and makes filters and filtration systems for engines, hydraulics, compressed air and gases, dust collection and process liquids.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Donaldson compressed air dryers and filters, gas filter housings, activated carbon adsorbers, hydraulic and fuel filtration and dust collectors, and supply them and their replacement elements in Oman and the GCC.

Milestones

  • 1915: Frank Donaldson Sr. builds an air cleaner for a tractor that kept failing in a dusty field; the family starts Donaldson Company in Minnesota.
  • 1917: Air cleaners are supplied for artillery tractors.
  • 1920s: Exhaust products are added after crop fires caused by engine sparks.
  • 1974: Donaldson acquires Torit, the dust collector business.
  • 2015: The company marks its 100th year.

Compressed air quality is set by ISO 8573-1 classes for particles, water and oil. A typical instrument air system uses a coarse filter and a fine coalescing filter before the dryer, an adsorption dryer for a low pressure dew point (for example -40 °C), and a dust filter after it. An activated carbon stage removes oil vapour where the air touches food or is breathed. Heatless dryers use some of the dry air to regenerate the desiccant, while heat-regenerated and zero-purge types save that air on larger systems.

Where Donaldson products are used

In Oman and the GCC, Donaldson filters and dryers are used for instrument and plant air in oil and gas, refining, power and desalination plants, for breathing air, in food and pharmaceutical production, on hydraulic systems and fuel storage, and in cement and bulk handling.

Ordering Donaldson products: what we need

Send the model and size from the nameplate. For dryers and filters, add the flow (m³/h or scfm), working pressure, inlet temperature, required dew point or ISO 8573-1 class, and the supply voltage. For replacement elements, send the element part number or the housing model.
